I actually had a bunch of thoughtful comments about what might improve the gameplay, or what I would like to see happen in the story, but my inner fangirl is currently screaming, "I WANT THE ASARI BARTENDER AS A SQUADMATE!!! SHE'S SO COOL!" so that's all I'd ask for, really.
AGREED, besides I think I read somewhere that she and Matriarch Benezia were Liara's parents(The Bartender said something along the lines of ''I've had kids, I was the father, she's now an information broker'')

Make the close quarter person(forget name, the class that charges) a bit more durable. I tried it for a bit, but I just died all the time. So I went back to infiltrator.
I believe you mean the Vanguard. It is more durable than the Infiltrator in actuality. I have completed the game on Insanity with that class and bounce around like a ping pong ball. Hell, I killed the Colossus (giant robot that shoots lasers during Tali's RM for those who forgot) by Charging it and shotguning it to death. You just need practice. ;)

What I want is a good main plot devoid of a laundry list of inconsistencies and retconning.

Never heard anything like that... just that she had kids and fell out with the mother. ... or father. But it's never been hinted that she is in any way related to Liara, not in anything I've seen.

LoTSB shows her holding a picture of Liara.
Oh, yeah, those little security camera snippits in the Shadow Broker's office are pretty funny, I'm especially fond of the one where that one punchable news reporter(Kalisah bin seni ladin or whatever) interviews a Krogan and near the end she get's falcon-punched bu it

Hm. I'll have to take your word for it, I can't get ME2 DLC (Getting onto XBL is damn near impossible for me, not worth the time).

-A vehicle that actually does a lot of damage and is stronger than cardboard. I know it'd be cheap if the vehicle just allowed you to blast your way through hordes of enemies, but honestly, that's what they're FOR. I mean, the Hammerhead? It's a tank, for pity's sake. It should work like one.
-Larger "hub" (city) worlds, but I wouldn't mind the explorable planets from ME1 being brought back, so long as they're smaller.
-The different types of ammo was kinda dumb. I didn't pay much attention to it until it was brought up in this thread, but yeah. It didn't really have much of an affect on anything.
-MOAR ASSAULT RIFLES
-Blasto for squad member

we constantly hear that humans are the new guys and what not ... so why in every multi species themed setting (say citadel or mercenary groups exception illium) are the humans if not dominant are at least half how about making us no more 1/10 or so? at the least it might make us sympathize with those renegade xenophobic assholes when we can somewhat feel like we are sticking out and surrounded with the non-human, also its more accurate with the lore/back drop of mass effect
on a similar not for art variety between the races please! take star trek for example generally just from the color themes you can tell if a ship or architecture is klingon borg federation cardassian dominion romulan etc but check out the final battle scene in mass effect 1 and there are only three distinct groups, geth citadel and destiny ascension the citadel fleet is supposedly made up of ships from all species and it looks all the same unless its just all turian which again doesnt fit right direction with quarians but they still all look very samey especially as far as color (human and turian are an extreme example of looking too similar)

I want it to allow me to deny a party member. I wanted nothing more then to tell Legion and Jack to get the fuck off my ship but couldn't. So I made sure they died at the end.

Oh and that AI please let me delete it from the ships computer.

Oh, god, this. BlackEyes told me I would love the vanguard, because he gets up-close and personal and it would be awesomeness. But sadly, I often found myself surrounded, and died very often. Then, I started an infiltrator, and fell in love.

I want to be able to play as any member of the team like in Dragon Age. How cool would it be to switch to Garrus in a gunfight?

I think that was going to be an option initially, in the demo for ME1 it shown the player swapping from shephard to Ashley, but it was later scrapped for some reason

have actual tits in the game, in ME1 there was decent enough sideboob. but ME2 was just a bloody bra, if you're going to advertise nudity in your game, then provide some ACTUAL NUDITY.

What is it with this fear-boob society anyway? THEY'RE BOOBS. they ain't going anywhere, so you might as well accept that they aren't going to turn everyone into a monster at the first nipple slip. Christ.
Ah, but didn't you know that by some deluded logic, children whom are below the age of the magical 18 and see even the faintest mention of a female nipple in the media will become deranged rapists after at least an hour of seeing that which is most divine evil? Apparently, that is..

OT: I want my fucking Mako and my elevator loading screens back. The loading screens in ME2 were painfully annoying and boring, at least your teammates occasionally conversed in the elevator, damn it! Also, back to the overheating instead of thermal clips like ME1. Thermal clips are annoying, and make less sense in the atmosphere of Mass Effect.

..That is all I can think of, at the moment.

Mass Effect is a great game. It only needs one thing in my opinion... a different button for choosing dialogue and skipping dialogue. WHY would you ever make the same button that skips dialogue the button that chooses it as well?!?! There are plenty of other buttons on the controller! the A button would be just fine for starting dialogue! Why even add the ability to skip dialogue if it also makes you accidently choose the wrong options?

First time through I always let the NPCs blab, but 2nd 3rd etc? It gets really boring because I already know them and what they're going to say. I just want to choose my good/evil response and be done with it. Fix plz!

Less "pop out and shoot" emphasis for the entire game. It ruined the gameworld in ME2. Near everywhere was a box filled shooting gallery. It was shit.

More freedom and choice for power based characters. Dont be so fucking lazy and shove an extra gun in their hands. It makes it obvious that you didnt care about anything else as much as the shooter combat in ME2. Dont do it again in ME3.

Characters actually having a significant role in the story instead of just being picked up off a shopping list and having a personal (shooter based) errand for the player to run. Incidentally, Liara, Ashley/Kaidan and Wrex be the priority for returning squadmates. All ME2 squadmates follow them in priority.

Better romances. The romances in ME2 were the worst Bioware have ever written. 2 conversations, one "are you sure" (which is essentially what the first two conversations are comprised of anyway), and then an absolutely pathetic romance scene in most cases, often bordering on the plain tacky (SlutsuitMiranda for example).

Actual hubs this time, not tiny shopping malls designed to break up seperate shooting galleries. And worlds that you land on and explore the plot without being broken up into 30 minute shooter missions filled with intrusive and boring load screens, and ending on insanely stupid mission complete screen.

A new vehicle that isnt made of tissue, is used in moderation, yet allows some of that vast scope back in after ME2: the corridor trawler.

I could go on for ages.

Areas for Bioware to improve on are limitless, just as they were after ME1. The question is not CAN they, its WILL they? Will they actually not be lazy this time, and improve instead of strip out. Will they be brave this time, instead of willfully dumbing the game down out of greed and coveting other developers audiences and sales figures?

My bet at the moment stands at "no", and if true, its the last bet Ill bother making on Bioware for sure.
