What would YOU do to create a utopia?

Just out of curiosity, I just want to find out what people think a utopia would be like. So, envision yourself as the president of the world, and say what you would change or do (and please don't say "make everyone nice"). Personally, I would take away currency. Then, the artists would paint so others could enjoy the paintings, the scientists would research for the better of humanity and not for a paycheque, and the game developers would work to make a game that appeals to everyone. So, just throw out your ideas.

My utopia would be an uber-masculine guy's dystopia, because it would involve me writing a tract on multiple masculinities that would be used as propaganda to bring about the sissification of the world to the extent that football players would enjoy the Sex and the City movie as much as I did, and the armies of the world would consist of top ranking chess players trained to be the best of the best at resolving conflicts by moving plastic or wooden men around rather than shooting each other in the face.

I would also need to build a time machine to go back to the early 1990s to ensure the SNAG/New Man agenda of that era was successful, in order for my plan to be in effect.

I'm not saying it would be everyone's cup of tea. But turning the world's population into sissies who are afraid to whack spiders with brooms and who enjoy Merchant Ivory movies and Jane Austen adaptations would be pretty hilarious.

I'd do the following soon after being put in power:

- Enforce similar pay amongst similar jobs, but award bonuses to the productive.

- Send a heavily armed military unit to slap social leeches and idiots who abuse the legal system. Repeat offenders are jailed for half a year to six years, depending on how serious the crime was.

- Put prisoners to use as unskilled workers, or imprison them for double the length of time if they refuse.

- Draw spending away from the military and pump it into public schooling and medical/scientific research.

- Imprison all supporters of the westboro baptist church for at least 60 years.

And what hard labour would you do for the rest of your life? A currency-less society would not work, full stop.

Part of my vision of Utopia is peaceful, law-abiding citizens, and there's nothing quite as peaceful and law abiding as a dead person, so I'd have alot of people killed. No group in particular- this isn't a genocide thing.

Well I just took what I heard about some social experiment done a long time ago and wondered, "If this experiment actually work what would happen to the regular average Joe?" then my prof said something about how he was going to work us like slave s and I?m like perfect! Believe me this would neverly everly work! But would be a fun social experiment

Speak for yourself, I have no liking of oral sex whatsoever.

My own utopia? Let me see

- Capital punishment would make a resounding comeback; none of this rehabilitation nonsense. You break the laws I deem warrant enough severanty, you pay with your life.

- I could care less what your name happens to be or who you are for that matter, again you do not break my laws.

- Force all lazy welfare cases to either earn a living or be shipped to an island; you work to live in my society. No bleeding the system dry.

- Abolish French in Quebec; no I have no qualms with the language nor its culture and would love an opportunity to visit France, however Quebec has a holier-than-thou opinion of themselvs and I would like to take them down a peg or two.

- Everyone pays taxes, believe in whatever God you want, that is not an excuse to avoid taxes. No I will not accept "God does not believe we should not have to pay", I shall merely refer you to my second rule.

Oh I could go on for a while with this, so instead I'll just leave those.
