I pick a Stormsaber from World of Warcraft. It's a giant riding-saber-toothed cat! I would probably add some more armor to it though. It would be fast, agile, and a warrior in its own right. I honestly can't think of anything better, except for maybe a dragon :3

Well, after a while of adding more to something it will eventually become ridiculous, won't it. When you've got a precariously perched porcupine on top of the whole of Bristol Zoo it stops looking quite as intimidating...

Those sure are funny looking animals.

Tanks are part animal, they do have horse power after all.
But if it has to be an animal, I'd go with a fell beast from Lord of the rings, with armor plating added around the neck and other extremely vulnerable areas.
