Machinima. Mainly because they stopped producing stuff I cared about and flooded my inbox.

Rooster Teeth - I don't like how loud and obnoxious they've become. Plus, their ad placement is phenomenally fucking dumb. And lastly, this is a pet peeve of mine - but when they insist on asking their audience to go vote for them for some dumb award, it was the last straw for me.

For some reason I subbed the Cracked channel and haven't bothered to unsub it just yet, even though they haven't put out anything I think is funny is a really long time. I think I will go do that right now.

Machinima Their editorial became too much of a joke. It came to a point that when they would talk about Sleeping Dogs, they would only talk about that one actress and only her. I didn't like how their network would treat channels I liked either. I also actually liked the genre of Machinima, something the channel stopped promoting.

Really surprised when Hank and Jed went over there and Andrea Rene came here.

Jim Sterling I didn't like how he treated the idea of his own videos. I still watch some videos now but I won't watch the trashy shit games he specializes in.

I was subscribed to Markiplier for a bit, but I got tired of seeing a barrage of videos in my subscriber feed that I'd never watch. I don't handle horror games well, so seeing a bunch of thumbnails with gory, ghastly ghoulies every day was something I'd rather not experience if given the choice. The breaking point was some indie horror title with a thumbnail of a guy cutting open his own arm. Not the sort of thing you want to see before breakfast. Also, you can only watch a grown man fake excitement while howling into a microphone for so long before it starts getting old.

I unsubbed from Game Grumps as well a little while back. It's hard to put my finger on the reason why, but I found myself skipping their new videos more often than watching them. Eventually it got to the point where all it did was clutter up my subscriptions tab, so I dropped them. Perhaps I got burnt out from their relentless barrage of videos. Perhaps they strayed too far from the original formula when they started expanding the cast. Perhaps the mystique of Barry was ruined when he became a regular. I do remember thinking towards the end that Arin was becoming overbearing because Dan was too nice not to rein him in.

And yes, I unsubscribed from Extra Credits yesterday for their scathing condemnation of *that* movement (I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about). To say that only one side has an issue with bullying and harassment is ignorant at best. They seem like intelligent people and frankly, they should know better than to blindly accept one version of the narrative without at least trying to listen to the other side. That, and I'd be lying if I said the high-pitched narrator schtick didn't grate on my nerves at times...

Only one really:

Extra Credits and yeah it was because of gamergate. That one still hurts. I still respect them and what they do, but I still couldn't support them.
I haven't really been keeping up with them, what did they say about Gamergate?

This:

"Extra Credits has never been a show that races to cover recent news. When we comment, we want to bring perspective and constructive critique.

But the GamerGate situation has moved far beyond the potential for constructive anything. It is misguided. It is harmful. It is wrong.

Hate founded this movement, then deliberately cloaked itself in a righteous cause, a banner of ?media ethics? or ?anti-bullying.? This banner invited sympathizers who believed the cause was just. But nothing can or could erase the hatred at its core.

The immeasurable pain this has caused to people and the immense distance it has set back the industry crosses an irredeemable line. Social media is not ideal to explore the details of this issue that have arisen in the last few months, but let?s make our position clear.

We stand with the creators who push this medium to new heights. We stand for an open and diverse discourse. We stand against GamerGate."

Im going to ignore the channels i unsubscribed from because they were abandoned and also thing like a game developers channel when i stopped playing that game.

Machinima - poor content riddled with ads and then there was this whole "say good things about Xbox secrelty and we pay you".

Angry Video Game Nerd - he just reposts same things that are available on his website and i get his stuff from there.

AndrosEnigmaX - when i was a kid i believe in all the ghost/alien stuff. I grew up and unsubbed.

theres probably like 5 more i forgot the name of, well, if i forgot they even existed they werent important i guess.

Various anti-theist channels. I went through that phase and I really want to leave that reactionary bullshit behind me.
Yogcast. I loved their minecraft series, but cared little for the other stuff, and even less for the supporting members of the cast.
Jesse Cox. I loved his crossover videos with Total Biscuit, but since he stopped doing them, there's no reason to me to subscribe to him ayn more.
Extra Credits- I loved them before the whole escapist to penny arcade to youtube switching bussiness, but they seem to be a bit too moralistic nowadays.

Well, I seemed to only unsubscribed to just one channel, but the main reason for doing so, since I never seem to unsubscribe to any channel I've subscribed to regardless of anything in particular, was because the channel, itself, was completely taken over to the point that it was a whole other channel in and of itself... Basically, it went from this music channel where this one German house musician posting all of his latest tracks on YouTube to who-knows-what posting various videos involving random people hurting themselves to the point that they could have been featured on an episode of Tosh.0 with literally no trace of the anything related to the original channel outside of its channel url... I mean, I did get to know what did happen to this particular musician later on so that I can still keep up-to-date with his latest EPs and stuff like that, but I never thought a channel could be completely taken over by someone else entirely like that...

Other than that, I rarely subscribe to channels nowadays, let alone unsubscribe... and those that I do subscribe to are one that don't end up messing up my subscription number pattern...

That... just made me go and subscribe to Extra Credits. Thanks?

OT:Rooster Teeth/ Achievement Hunter. Got sick of the way they focused on expanding and becoming more and more commercial. They wound up leaving behind the things that made me love them.

Yogscast: I used to like their shtick, but I just got tired of it. Especially now since they're barely a YouTube channel anymore, and closer to a network.

Little Kuriboh/all his alternate channels: Yeah, YGOTAS got tired. Dude is just resting on his laurels, but even when he does make new episodes, they just feel tired and boring. It was fresh for a while, but it didn't last.

TFS is going the same way with how thinly they've spread themselves. You can see it in their new episodes, as now they're trying to do serious action one-liners, whereas the humour before stemmed from the other characters being aware of how stupid that kind of stuff sounded.

And there's no more parodies like that Wrestlemania thing they did [sub]I miss Jayce[/sub][sub][sub]Space Australia ;_;[/sub][/sub]

I'm also debating over whether or not I should unsub to Game Grumps, I mean, I like Danny and all, but I've been barely watching the videos... it's just not the same without Jon, for me at least.

That's about it really. My subscriptions are plentiful, but there's almost nothing in that list that I would consider unsubbing from :p

Haven't really unsubscribed from anyone, because I wouldn't have subscribed to them in the first place if I didn't want to watch them.

Also, I don't understand the concept of unsubscribing because a channel puts out too much content? Just, don't watch if you don't have time. Flag videos for watch later. You don't need to 'keep up' with someone, you're not going to miss out on anything. It's just commentary and small jokes here and there...
Because if I'm not watching their videos then they just clog up my sub box. It's annoying to have to maneuver through a bunch of let's play content that you don't have the time nor the inclination to watch, even if they sometimes play a game or do something you're interested in.

That was the reason I unsubbed to Toby Turner and Pewdie Pie. I'll be honest, I'm part of the happy wheels catastrophe in that I subbed to the likes of Tobuscus and Pewdiepie because they were playing happy wheels and I got an honest chuckle from watching the first of their series to I subbed. Then my channel feed before more and more cluttered. I gave their other series a try, but they started getting tired, and they posted several times a day with stupid all caps titles and distracting thumbnails. So before the end of the week that I had subbed to these guys I unsubbed, and I really haven't looked back.

Then there's people like the AmazingAthiest. I watched a couple of videos on his channel and was intrigued by his opinions because I was younger and felt a little lost with my religious identity, or should I say lack of one. It was also a time when I was scared of rejection because of my homosexuality, do really it was a time when I was younger and more vulnerable and the Amazing Athiest seemed like the channel for me. He turned my building depression into anger on many issues, and I would have much more frequently heated online debates on certain topics and be generally aggressive and antsy about certain political topics.

Then the day came when the Athiest started becoming incredibly biased and had a very condescending attitude towards those he opposed. Well that's not true, I actually only had just had a moment of clarity and realized that his attitude was self destructive and that I didn't want to be angry any more. I don't know if I would have gone through my anger and loathing phase with or without the Athiest being there, but unsubbing to him was the thing that marked my changed attitude towards religion and generally more positive attitude. It wasn't healthy for me.

The big one is Totalbiscuit.

I just got sick of, and I have to say this, typical PC elitism. As a primarily console gamer (but dabble on PC) I know whats the pro's and con's of each, I am WELL aware of them. He just used to hammer on and on about how much better the PC is ... like, ok, I get it!

He is also very up his own arse, this is my opinion and now I will stick my fingers in my ears and LA LA LA over you and lastly, he would spend SO. MUCH. TIME hammering on the same one singular point for 10+ minutes. I get that it's good to restate your opinion in 2 or 3 different ways to make it absolutely clear what you're saying but when you get to 6 or 7 different ways of saying the same thing ... you're just beating your point into the ground.

Dude is hard working, has great production values, knows his shit, can get good info, quite intelligent but I just couldn't take (what I perceive to be) the negative parts of his personality any more.

I never subscribed, but there's a YouTuber by the name of TheDevilDogGamer that I used to like to watch occasionally because he was a former Marine who played FPS games and had an interesting view on them. Then he put out an opinion video where he tried to justify American soldiers urinating on corpses in Afghanistan. Yeeeah, I can't truck with that.

Tobuscus, Pewdiepie and Markiplier I have all unsubscribed from because then quickly turned into all the things I hate about Youtube.

Anybody else I have unsubscribed from is just because I never watch their videos and I dislike the room they take up on my page.
