What's the community like here?

I have a much older join date than the OP, but few posts due to my lurking, even with an account.
My experience on the forums has been 100% even on the R&P, which is somewhat worse than the rest of the site.
You may not see much hate and spiteful, but you will see 1000 word posts that thoroughly deconstruct and thrash your argument.

Welcome to the cozy little family. First off most of the people here are PC gamers so there tend to be quite a few PC elitists that can be kind of annoying at times. Secondly this is probably one of the more civilized and normal forums so if you disagree with someone make sure you debate in a manner that doesn't degenerate into petty insults. Lastly just have a good time and I'll see you around.

I quite like these forums here (far better than b.net) but I'm worried that no one will take me seriously with me join date late 2012. And is there any respect for opinions? Some forums opinions = trolling.

The forum community comprises mostly of a liberal highly tolerant society of anti social (but not always outcasts) people usually in the younger age group (though there is still a healthy older population) who really like video games.


In short we do not care who you are or where you came from, but if you come here to tell us video games rot our minds you better have damn good evidence...

and even then we might still call bull shit.
