For me I want my book that I'm writing to be successful when I publish it. I also want to be a game designer so I think I've got a few options.

Ah, it's good to see other people interested in that subject : )

I'm planning to start this summer so obviously I'm very excited about it. Hopefully that excitement will last. Nothing quite catches my interest like astronomy does.

At the moment I don't know what kind of job I would like in that field, though. I also know only a little about what options there actually are.

Good luck with your job search! Do you know where you want to search for that kind of job?
It's a awesome subject, my personal interest stems in stars, formation, life and eventual death, but the way a star works is just amazing, some reactions take millions of years based on probability functions, yet happen ten to thousands to millions and beyond of times a second due to the density and size of it, different rotational speeds proportional to the altitude from the equator given the star isn't a solid body, I could go on.

Job wise, I've found a number of solar observatories in Australia, Cuba and Hawaii, where the sun shines unlike the UK. Australia is my first choice and I plan to travel there for a month after my degree is completed. Whilst there I'll be trying to drop my CV in.

My dream is to be one of the world's foremost experts on quantum mechanics while writing a series of moderately successful comics on the side.

I'd like to make my living from writing, be it from novels, film/tv scripts, comics, reviews or whatever. I'd also like to just enjoy myself, and be happy doing it.

I want to create the perfect fighter. I am going to school to get degrees in anatomy, physics, nutrition and every other subject that can help me mold and create a perfect unbeatable fighter. I am also studying various styles of martial arts and finding what is effective and ineffective. Once I have created the perfect regime I just need a person to mold.

I want to be happy. It matters little to me if my life has any significance or lasting impact on the world as long as I'm enjoying myself.

My dream of pure happiness is to be independently wealthy (real estate or something stable like it) with a part time job at a bookstore and playing bass in a rock band on weekends.

To be a scientist. More specifically an astrophysicist.

Yeah, I love physics.
Woop! Physics ftw! But not astrophysics... Stars bore me. Particle physics time!

No, really, I want to be a physicist. That's why I'm studying it at uni.

well, job wise i think i could contribute to the society very nicely as a Psychologist, and the education to get that job would also have the bonus of me learning a lot about the human mind.
so since i find the human mind very fascinating its my ideal job and education.
besides that i want to study philosophy, logic and basic astronomy (maybe a higher level if i get really into it).

im also planning to travel the worlds most beautiful and remarkable places by foot and / or bike, just no motorised vehicles because i really want to get all the details and all the sights and impressions, and its like you just cant get those through a car window.

i'd also like to sometime in the future, have a wife that loves me, children to survive me, a dog to accompany my family, and a hobby of writing novels.

if i fail to find the woman of my life, i will be just as well suited with living alone in a small cottage or log somewhere beautiful, like at the bottom of a mountain surrounded by trees and a lake, of course still with the job, the hobby and the dog :p

Today I was having a discussion with a friend of mine over what above all else we wanted out of life in the future. Personally, since I was young I've loved all kinds of comedy and feel that laughing and making somebody else laugh is one of the best feelings on earth. Obviously then, a future involving that would be my dream, be it through stand-up, comedy writing or whatever.

Well I've shared mine, what about you fellow Escapists?
Your dream is the same as mine. Freaky.

If you asked me 19 years ago, I would have said I wanted to become a fireman, which is way more realistic than my current dream: To live a problem free life.
