Aim Down Sights has been the best mechanic added to shooters since the twin stick.DexterNorgam said:I think the biggest problem I have with COD is that it's had a rather chilling effect on innovation in the shooter genre.
Which keeps people making ADS shooters, or at least shooters that borrow heavily.
Have to go with this one honestly. It's people's opinions really. You aren't required to share them and you certainly aren't going to be able to change them, so why bother?Thedayrecker said:What's with all the threads about MW3 hate?
Dont forget to add Saints Row the Third and Gears 3 to that list, plus Bioshock Infinite next year. To be perfectly honest, why bother with buying the same game with a different campaign (that no one plays anyway) over and over when all these other awesome games are coming out? Also BF3 qualifies but it has a truly gripping MP experience that really pulls you in and makes it feel like you're actually at war. Thank you DICE for giving us something different.Stealthygamer said:Because better games like Deus Ex Human Revolution, Batman: Arkham City, Mass Effect 3 and Skyrim are coming out
At this point they seriously do. I don't find it worth the time (let alone the money) to pick up new call of duty games. I'm tired of them tweaking the game a tiny bit, add a new kill streak or two, maybe a few more perks, and then add one actual feature and decide the game is done. If i'm going to pick up a game, I demand it feel like another game and not just some DLC.TH_SHOTZ said:the core mechanics don't need to change
I played in the Alpha and loved every second of it, but this statement still caused a tiny flicker of rage. The experience was very intense but I'd say it's going much too far to say it makes you feel like your actually at war. Hyperbole I know but statements like this bug me.MercurySteam said:Also BF3 qualifies but it has a truly gripping MP experience that really pulls you in and makes it feel like you're actually at war.
