Windows 7 takes it all right now but before i had vista no problems at all with it except for excessive security. Any time i would try to download or run something it would ask first and make sure if it was ok to run the program
Vista takes up more of your computer's resources, that's very true. A computer running XP will usually run faster than that same computer running Vista.Hoxton said:Everything is wrong with vista. No brainer there. The fact that Microsoft is releasing a new windows version within a year or two confirms it. It's incredibly buggy, leechful and demanding from your hardware. If you need your pc for games, stick with XP vista supports only a limited number of games. SUXZ0R!

Now this i will accept! A constructive argument over a dozen of yelling and screaming aimlesslyJC175 said:-snip-
Cause that doesn't make you look like the so-called troll. Obviously you're a bit frustrated but for pete's sake don't tear your hair out over it! Just a computer dudeGeorge Palmer said:worlds worst operating system. easily. giant piece of crap.
daily crashes - Probably your fault (misuse, eg. Installing loads of crap)
cant remember settings - Ey?
constant questioning of things I want to do - You can turn that off (look for UAC)
slow - Your computer can't handle it, if you bought a ready made solution from a store you can file a complaint
crashes daily - Probably your fault (misuse, eg. Installing loads of crap)
pales in comparison to XP or OSX - OSX is a rather generic term and the whole apples/pears thing, XP is a different generation OS which lacks, amongst others, 64bit support
years later STILL buggy - Are you even updating?
how many different versions are there? Home, Pro, Pro Home, Media, Pro media, Intro, Into Home Pro, Pro Home Intro Media Lite...etc... Just release ONE version of the OS and ONE version of the server. - Which would be a waste, people who actually need all the extra functions are willing to pay for them. People who don't can easily get away with Home Premium. AKA, commercialism. It is a company after all.
I cant wait until they release a new OS. I was actually very brilliant what MS did. They release an OS that was SO awful, SO bad, SO buggy that they could easily release ANY new operating system and it would be an improvement. They could take a big dump on your hard drive and it would work better than Vista.
Now they can release Win7 and say "SEE how much better it is? Aren't we clever? Aren't we great?"
MS' new campaign slogan: "Yeah thats right...AND the horse you rode in on!"
Why would you ask our opinion only to restrict it by denying some options? This thread is a joke.Ph33nix said:Things not to include: It takes up a ton of space on the hard drive, It attempts to be over protected but its security sucks.
That was pretty much my problem with it before as he said he disabled it! Iv'e since gone onto windows 7 and i like it a lot more than vista apart from the fact that i want to do a clean install and i can't work out how to format the hdd with 7.Davey Woo said:My typical Windows Vista problem (note, before I turned UAC off)
