Because I've heard of a few, not sure if they count.

Fire

Darkness

Of those, I would go with Air. I love the absolute freedom that the element embodies.

Plus flying would be awesome.

I would use it like telekinesis, just imagine someone chasing a frisbee everywhere.

I could fly, breathe anywhere, stop others breathing, conjure storms, have control over some aspects of the weather, use it in combination with fire/lightning, have some control over water particles, abilities similar to telekinesis, etc. It really is the best in my opinion.

Shadow or darkness. Partly for intimidation factor, partly for stealth, and partly for carrying my own shade-bank with me in the summertime.

Toss-up between glass or plastic. No reason, it'd just be fun.

For simplicity's sake, I'll go with air.

I'd probably go for wind/air. The others just seem really destructive in some way, wind is more passive but could be equally destructive if i really wanted to push it.

It'd be fun just blowing stuff around, making it more of a telekinesis-like ability. In difficult situations i could use air bubbles underwater for example, or if i really had to i could let on full force hurricane or tornado to just obliterate everything ;D

I would have to go with Earth, it is the most convenient and useful.

I say it is more useful than Water even, I mean no matter what there is going to be earth somewhere.

Well, unless you are flying...but I guess you can just bring a mountain up to where the plane is if you are strong enough and your power has enough range...or maybe carry some dirt in your pocket?

ME? I've always been aligned with lightning. Mostly because i'm probably the most staticly charged person on the planet, seriously i've been able to arc static shocks from unbelievable distances... oh and the power to fry people is quite cool as well.

Fire. Between the ability to use fire and my already ferocious personality (when angered), I could be the best wielder of fire that time or fantasy has ever seen! Muahahahahahahaha!

This and darkness. Fire is harsh, but it eliminates impurities in a substance. In a similar manor, I tend to rip down tapestries that people throw up to make themselves feel comfortable and force them to accept what is rather than what they want.

Also, I go with darkness due to a few things. For one, the night is absolutely beautiful in some places. Without the darkness, there would be no night. In the summer out in the desert, night and shadows provide respite from heat. Finally, without shadows or darkness, there's very little mystery. Without mystery, there's no need for exploration. Without exploration, there's no exhilaration of new discovery.
