Any of my Touhou games...
I'm fine with people insulting my video games. Except for Touhou. Fastest damn way to get on my bad side...for I shall not budge on my view.

without a second thought I would say no more heroes 1+2, I can't even tell you why I love these games.

maybe I just strongly relate to Travis Touchdown, and that would be worrying.

Grand Theft Auto IV - Liberty City is just such an amazing technical achievement that I love just endlessly going around it, driving, shooting people, dicking about. I will defend the game from haters on technical grounds alone if I can't defend the gameplay...which is awesome and I don't get people who bash it but eh.
I agree fully! The attention to detail in Liberty City is crazy, and I love the way cars handle and people react to bullets. It's one of the most satisfying games ever made in my opinion. I still play it to this day. In fact, I just bought EFLC on the PC a week ago when it was on sale. GTA is one of my favourite franchises, and I fucking love IV! I don't know how people can say it sucks so much.

Yay, someone who agrees with me. Finally ^_^

Plus, running people over in that game never gets old. I am in no way psychotically inclined ¬_¬

Final Fantasy VII. The core of my nostalgia, and my favorite story of all time. I don't care that the graphics are less than stellar or that the combat gets a little repetitive, it's still the best of the best.

Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker. Personally, I think it's the best Zelda game ever made, and alongside FFIX it was the cornerstone of my gaming childhood.
I don't say it much, but I agree. I like it the best. My pet game it is not, however.
My real pet game is probably We Love Katamari. With hilarity and an awesome game premise, how can it not be your favourite game of life?

Probably the Witcher. I played a good part of the way into it, then Mass Effect 2 came out and all other games got set aside for a bit. Now that I have been seeing advertising for the Witcher 2, I went into 'need to beat it before the sequel comes out' mode, but while I am trying to play through it again I keep getting a weird crash, often times when I'm trying to save.

After the first couple times its become annoying enough that I tend to pledge that I'm done with it but I keep going back. It keeps beating me but if I love it enough it will love me too, right?

Metroid Prime. I mean its very well considered, but I just keep finding myself going to my gamecube and playing it periodically over current gen stuff.

"You'll bring it up in game discussions fully aware few if anyone there's played it and you'll always hold out for the sequel that will almost surely never be." Fallout, Zelda, Final Fantasy, Bioshock, Morrowind, Oblivion those aren't pet games they are AAA titles that tons of people love :p

My pet games would be Deadly Premonition and Bust-A-Groove.

Brute Force. It was my favorite game ever back when it came out on the original xbox and now whenever I infrequently hear someone talk about it they say how it was a bland, shooter that was just average and had no potential.

Gauntlet: Dark Legacy.

Completely overlooked and dismissed for being an expansion of Gauntlet Legends. I like to pretend Legends doesn't exist and that Dark Legacy is the only version since it's the complete collection of the work. The dated visuals and gameplay don't bother me in the least, there is something overwhelmingly immerse about it. It's a massive game and a dare say it's an "Epic Adventure."

As far as I'm concerned, Seven Sorrows was a massive disappointment and unworthy of bearing the Gauntlet name. I'm hoping whoever now owns the Gauntlet IP since Midway went bankrupt has some plans to revitalize the franchise and give it the feel of the original 80s arcade games and Dark Legacy.
