Sure lolicon is legal and nobody gets hurt, but... lolicons are pedophiles by definition. I don't see how a debate was had.

Essentially, yeah. Probably more along the lines of, the only way they can possibly fulfill their fantasies would be through child rape. Which is highly illegal for very VERY good reason.

All I'm saying is that one topic is contentious, while the other is not. I'm not taking a side on the pedophile/child rapist equation, but I'd hope everyone who's not a psychopath would enthusiastically agree that child rape is one of those things that just plain should not happen, ever, for any reason.

I remember a lot of "What's so great about halo?" threads. For a while this was an almost daily occurrence.

One of the first posts would always be vrex, who'd explain the reasons people have for loving the series, and how people are entitled to their own opinions, and you don't have to hate people just because you disagree with them on whether a specific series was any good.

Also there was this bloke whose avatar was Gordon Freeman decapitating master chief with a crowbar who literally did nothing but talk about how shit halo was, and promptly got banned.

Good times.
