When was the last time something made you actually cry/tear up?

Clannad. I've only ever felt mild sadness in response to any fictional story but after that I was a red faced, blubbering wreck unable to see through the waterfall of tears cascading down my face.

Sweet Jesus it was emotional.

The end of the recent Hobbit movie when;
Thorin hugs Bilbo

EDIT: It's been uploaded, watched it again and teared up again.

For the record, I'm not hugely invested in the Tolkienverse, and I rarely tear up at anything.

Not media related but.... I was getting changed after practice the other night and as I pulled my jock strap off, the elastic garter got caught on my jersey. As I pulled the jock off, unsure as to where the resistance was coming from, the garter suddenly slipped free and slapped right into the side of my nuts.

My eyes most definitely were watery.

Last game that did it: Katawa Shoujo (Hanako's route). One of only two games that made me cry.
Last TV related thing that did it: Angel Beats. Dat ending.
Last IRL thing: Around 3 years ago when I cheated on somebody that I was seriously thinking of marrying. This coming from somebody that dislikes marriage.

Emotional tears? About 5 years ago when my grandfather's longtime "girlfriend"(for lack of a better word) died. Mostly from feeling sorry for my grandfather.

Any kind of tears? About a year and a half ago, when I got a bonemarrowpunction, worst pain I've ever felt (luckily a very short pain)

I'm incredibly jaded so I don't cry. Except for Saving Private Ryan and The Walking Dead-post episode 2.
When you tell Clem that you probably can't go find her parents and she cries, I felt bad. Then she turns around and you see her cry and I just lost it.

I haven't cried in real life for years. I did cry during the third season of The Walking Dead though, despite the fact that...

... I couldn't stand Lori. I have never seen an actor cry as convincingly as that awful, desperate moan that Andrew Lincoln gave off.

I was watching an episode of Doctor Who the other day (I think, not sure, but I think it was "The Beast Below") and I almost cried. I don't remember why though. I get my heart strings pulled a lot by media, but I've never cried. It's also strange considering I've seen that episode before and didn't even flinch.
I think the day is soon coming where something will make me bawl. Please don't let it be the finale of MLP season 3. I'm watching it live with my cousin.

Last week when reading 'If the Gods are Good'.

It's an account of the sinking of the HMS Jervis Bay by the Admiral Scheer during it's attack on convoy HX-84 in 1940. The Jervis Bay was a converted AMC - Armed Merchant Cruiser (also known as Admiralty Made Coffins) and was the only escort for the convoy. Upon sighting the Scheer it immediately attacked. Although hopelessly outgunned (it lacked the range or power to scratch the pocket battleship) it managed to delay the Germans for over an hour allowing the 37 convoy ships time to scatter. The Admiral Scheer only managed to sink a further five ships and Captain Fegen was awarded a posthumous Victoria Cross.

The title refers to Fegen's word to the crew upon taking command of the Jervis Bay; "If the gods are good and we meet with the enemy, I shall take you in as close as I possibly can".

I was watching Toy Story recently and I got teary-eyed when Woody tells Buzz "Buzz, you're flying!" and he replies "This isn't flying! It's falling! With style!".

Playing the Walking Dead last two episodes made me weep.
Accidently killing Ben in ep. 4 and then when Ben and Kenny ended up dying later anyway and that ending

Otherwise....nothing I can remember recently. The animated short gave me happy feels though.

Last night's 30 Rock finale, where Liz Lemon is saying goodbye to Tracey Jordan, but its clearly Tina Fey saying goodbye to Tracey Morgan. Then she cries, then Tracey cries, then I cried. Oh and at the end when Jane Krakowski was singing "Rural Juror". And then I had an orgy of 30 Rock clips on nbc.com and burst into tears watching the "Final Goodbye" vid. So. Yeah. Gonna miss 30 Rock.

I tear up pretty easy. Lots of repressed emotion, I guess. Even stupid things can trigger it, depending on the tenor of my mood.

You know what always gets me though? Those goddam videos of soldiers coming home and surprising their loved ones. I'm not even American! I don't even know any soldiers! Gets me every damn time.

I recently played through the Walking Dead.

Yeah.

Leaving Andy St. John to die
Mercy killing Duck
Kenny mercy killing Ben
The ending, obviously
Yeah! wait... uh... really dude?

the murderous cannibal who lops pieces off of your friend? Who locked you in a walk in fridge with the intent to kill and eat you later? You cried because you left him to die?
Yeah. I can't explain it myself but I felt really bad for the guy. I didn't cry though, I just kinda welled up a little.
