Breitbart reported something that favoured Anita Sarkeesian. Of course it's a SJW site. The fact that it was true is completely irrelevant. 4Chan has also been accused of SJWing because they're sick of GamerGate sucking the place up or something. that's your problem. You're not seeing SJWs everywhere, conspiring, because you aren't paranoid enough.

Tell you what. Watch Loose Change while staring angrily at a picture of Zoë Quinn for eight hours. I guarantee, the world will seem more full of SJWs.

I'm very pro-GG and I find your reasoning/semantics very odd.

Why would you consider GG to be "smoke screen" for attacks on ZQ, as opposed to GG sparking off because ZQ (and her friends/ideological allies in the press) pissed off alot of people, very fast. Since my other thread didn't really take off the way I wanted I guess I will try something more simple.

That being, where are all the SJWs who like gaming? And I don't mean the fly by night trollers or the well beaten strawmen, I mean people who are like, legit concerned about what they say and what they believe in. But also who happen to play video games.

Anyway, I only know of one solid community. ... that is it really.

Am I missing something? With all this talk of SJWs of late I would think there would be more organized cabals or some such here-bouts out there somewhere. With all this identity politics flown about I'd figure I group with my own kind, but even so, I don't even know where to look.

I tried searching on Google, and all I got was a mess of links related to decrying social justice or feminism anything. Can anyone help me?

So an SJW community with gaming at it's forefront? Well the only thing I could guess at, off the top of my head, would be Kotaku. There are plenty that hate gaming and gamers, although I don't think they're that hard to find.

Edit: this is of course going by the definition of SJW meaning someone who overreacts at everything, plays professional victim, and spins things to their self-righteous constantly insulted world-view of "duh patriarchy". If the following does not describe you, then I do not consider you an SJW.

As a more moderate member of #GG, who often don't care what (in my terms) SJW go on about and is for the most part not concerned about SJW...

To me, SJW is someone who gets offended by the slightest amount of thing and will go on the internet in pure anger and tries to change how a game is when they have no right to change that game beyond "I just won't buy it." Which is fine.

For example: The backlash against Dragon Crown's art by that one Kotaku guy (Schrier I think), or lately the attack on Tropico 5 by Polygon and it getting a bad review simply because it offended the reviewer (which should have zero effect on grade and just be a side note by the reviewer).

I guess to me, a SJW in gaming I can't agree with is someone who thinks existing games should be shamed/changed simply for existing, rather than focusing on promoting and encouraging more games that appeal to their sensitivities. They are crass and rude and attack people who disagree with their viewpoints or simply ban/censor/shut out the conversation (the community manager for MN9 for example)

Video games' greatest strength is its ability to be diverse, why should we diminish that?

I go on tumblr, identify as a feminist most of the time and generally agree with the main principles of social justice... i wouldnt call myself a warrior though. I dont really enjoy being mean to people :/ But sure im 2/3rds of the way there i suppose.

I like videogames. I want video games to have the diversity of books and art to enrichen the experience for everyone. I wasn't offering if they are SJW or not, I said just those 2 are why its seen as a SJW fortress, I could go in depth but I don't think that'll help this article.

I don't like Jason because of his attacks on Dragon Crown's art and Patricia's articles tend to be eyerollingly bad and feel like just blog posts but that is just me.
