Anyone else remember Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy? I'm not sure if the sequal was ever officially in the works, but the first one definitely was not meant as a stand alone title. I would LOVE to see the follow up, but seeing as the first one is seven years old now, I don't think it's very likely.
hell yes, second that. that shit was my game of, 2003 or whenever. you can take your unleashed force and all that jazz, Psi-Ops had the best telekinesis controls and therefore the fastest way possible to stroll into an office and laugh uncontrollably as you kill all the guards using just the chairs.

Black and White: Next-Generation. [http://www.gamespot.com/xbox/strategy/blackwhitenextgeneration/index.html]
I remember waiting for it... and then getting deeply disappointed. I want it made for the xbox 360. Even though that wouldn't happen in a million years.

The sequel to the glorious Republic Commando aka Imperial Commando... I don't even know why it got the axe seeing as Republic Commando was amazing... I still weep to this day.
I was playing it on Steam a few days ago and it had a link to this news article about the possibility of a sequel being in the works:

Starcraft Ghost for maximum originality
I would also love to see a proper Conker's Bad Fur Day 2, a Star Wars Battlefront 3, and I really hope that I Am Alive doesn't get cancelled.

I wanted to see how Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain Slicked Precipice of Darkness was to conclude, unfortunately, they cancelled episode 3, so I'll have to do without.

On the rain-sick precipice of darkness, episode 3. I forget exactly why it never got made but I actually enjoyed the innate story, insane characters and overall fanservice and odditys.
They couldn't make it because the developer wanted to work on Deathspank instead, but the story was continued and ended in comic format by the PA guys here: http://www.penny-arcade.com/rainslick/ and http://www.penny-arcade.com/presents/rspd/

Anyway, the only one that came to mind that hasn't been mentioned was this vaporware title that was marketed in the lead-up to the Nintendo Wii launch. It was a disturbing-looking horror game called Sadness.

This is actually qualified as a cancelled movie release rather then game, but still equally as interesting; Gears of War the movie, about roughly 4-6 months into the production the movie was canceled and what I fear may happen to the recently anticipated Bioshock movie.

For those of you that don't know the current problem with the Bioshock movie, the director can't seem generate enough pay to recreate Rapture through CGI. The only way to get the money from big name companies was to lower the rating and change the movie from a rated "R" horror film to a "PG" action film and he pretty much gave them a nice big "F**K you" and declined now leaving him in a predicament. Hopefully the movie will still be made and in it's intended form, not this PG13 action BU*****T.

Sonic X-Treme, because the concept seemed really cool and I would have loved to play it. But as we all know, it could never be.

Someone probably beat me to saying this, but Starcraft:Ghost. No doubt about it.

I think they were making another Road Rash game.

I'd blow an entire football team for that, and I HATE football!

TimeSplitters 4

dunno if they've actually cancelled it, but it's becoming increasingly unlikely they'll make it.

Shenmue 3. It must be made. I'll even buy several copies just so they can continue making them. I miss Shenmue. :(

I would love to see a finished Duke Nukem Forever in 2001. That version looked epic, although I do get this feeling it was actually a clunky, buggy, and broken game at the time. I still want it, though. :p

Also, the original Spore. That thing looked amazing in that 35 minute demonstration. They had all these unique, amazing new features and technology, but then threw it away to make it more accessible and kiddy. It makes me RRAAAAAAAAGE!

I was really interested about City of Metronome (I bet a lot of you don't even remember that game).

Over the years there have been many ideas that never led to a completed product... which ones had you excited? Feel free to include anything that's not technically cancelled but looks unlikely to ever be released.
Xenosaga 4, 5, and 6.

If only Xenosaga 2 hadn't ruined it for the rest of the series.
Finally, a fellow Xenosaga fan. While I didn't hate episode two, it definitely was the worse of the series, and really hard to get into, so I can see why so many people wouldn't like it. Story wise it wasn't bad, but the battle system was just overly complicated and repetitive.

To get back on topic, I think Starcraft: Ghost would have been pretty sweet. But that's to be expected, after what they did with SC2, now we'll never expect anything but pure awesome from Blizzard.
