I cry easily with movies, but not with Toy Story 3 and especially not with the ending. Not that it was a bad movie, it was great, but I never really gave a crap about Andy's relationship with his toys. For me, Andy was always a minor character in the movies and the real meat 'n potatoes was with the relationship between the toys themselves.

And with Toy Story 3, Andy has grown up so much and looks so different that he might aswell be a completely new character. Still, a great movie, but the ending really fell flat for me.

I did really love the running reference to My Neighbor Totoro though :)

I just watched the movie... it didn't do anything for me honestly. I am a giant sissy when it comes to movies/games/books. Mass Effect, Brothers in Arms, Band of Brothers, The Pacific, Braveheart, Timeline, The Road... etc... but Toy Story didn't do anything. Hmmm.

I didn't cry for the toys. I cried for the 8 year old version of me who would've been overjoyed that the toys got a happy ending. I miss that kid.

I cried, I'm same age as Andy.

First and only time I've cried at a movie.

People would laugh when I told them that. But then they saw the movie.

It was not the first movie to make me bawl my eyes out in a theater...Strangely enough, that was Wall&middotE. Now I can't even think about Hello Dolly! without crying, or more specifically, "It Only Takes a Moment" without crying.

But Toy Story 3 did make me cry. Well, if you want to be specific, I shed a few tears in the beginning, at the home movie footage, and I cried at the end.

Scary, I guess you could say, is that I did NOT cry during Up. It was a heartwarming film, but I couldn't shed a tear for the first time, or for the two other consecutive times I watched it, but it was still exciting.

BTW - Wall&middotE is "&" and "middot", no space.
Kind of awesome, and it is Pixar related, so I feel its important.

I teared up. One of the landmark films of my childhood finally culminating, defining what it means to grow up and move on...there's just so much truth in what happens in that ending. Truths that you never really talk about, but are still embedded in the most tender part of your soul. It hit the right spot.

Felt a lump in my throat at the end, and I breathed a sigh of relief when they survived the furnace, but didn't cry.

I did as well. I think it was because most of us realized that the age of innocence is dying. I really wish I was a kid; you can enjoy anything a lot more than when you're "mature" - which is, frankly, quite overrated.

Kids today are trying too hard to "grow up" really quick - they have no idea what they're missing out on.
This sums up a lot of what I'm feeling going through high school at the moment. You really have no idea why adults seem to try so hard to preserve the innocence of children until you have lost it yourself.

On-topic: Yeah, I was almost bawling. Seeing as I don't cry at movies, ALMOST bawling is actually really fucking incredible.
