Oi, what's the meaning of this? D:<
Oh well, a wise friend of mine once said that everyone gets their own version of their waifu.
So yeah, Kudryavka Noumi is my waifu.

Ignore the one on the right :p
A good quote.
And they do say "Great minds think alike".

If I had to choose a version, I'll choose this version then.

Because I'm still waiting for Kud Wafter to still be translated.

I've never played a visual novel, so I don't have a favorite girl. I'm just going off on what woman I found most attractive, in an anime.

She is just a whole lot of woman. Smart, super hot, and a natural leader. She also uses a sling as a weapon, so she cannot run out of ammo. An essential element for any lady.

That they do. Also Clannad is the best damn anime I've seen.

I actually tried reading KW in Japanese, but the language they use is surprisingly difficult, and my meager knowledge isn't enough. :/

Chihaya Ayase from Chihayafuru:
Shoot, that's good.

I forgot about Chihaya. Whatever, I'm still sticking with Meseta.

Off-topic: Yeah Waifu isn't a term I would ever use. There's just too much baggage and image problems for me.

Agreed.
Clannad is my number one for best anime and best protagonist (Tomoya because I've had him as my avatar for years).
But still Little Busters is my favorite Visual Novel, the mix or the story, lovable characters, fun mini-games and great routes really make it grand.

Yeah, I played for a bit too but I couldn't understand much either then the words I usually hear in anime.
I have been waiting for a long time for it to be translated and hopefully this year will make it finished. >.<

Well, I married Henry in Fire Emblem Awakening and have a lovely portrait of him in my room right now, so I think he counts. Otherwise, I think Balalaika from Black Lagoon and Cynthia from Pokemon are pretty nifty.

LB and Clannad are at the top of my list, alongside Steins;Gate and Ever17. I've read quite a few VNs but none of them stack up to these 4.

I use a combination of a text grabber and electronic dictionary to read stuff in Japanese, and it works well enough for simple stuff, even if it takes me over a minute to do a couple of lines.

I know she isn't the most liked character, but...

Jack

I disliked her at first because of her extremely violent nature, but the more I learned about her the more I liked her. She doesn't know who or what she is supposed to be, so she acts indifferent to everything because she doesn't know what to think. Her childhood was terrible, and even after she escaped Pragia she had a tough life. Always taken advantage of by almost everyone she met, and the one who did care for her was killed.

I find myself wanting to talk to her, even if she would probably never let me. I want to give her someone to open up to. She wants to express what she feels, but doesn't know how.

When I read her poem I cried. I still had mixed feelings but seeing that desperate attempt at understanding and expressing herself pushed me over the edge.

First choice: Roland Deschain from Steven King's Dark Tower. Another person who tries to avoid sharing anything of meaning about himself, yet wants to. I'm not entirely sure, but I'm pretty sure he's only straight. Still, I spent many hours imagining if I was part of the ka-tet. I mean, I love all of those characters, but Roland was just amazing. I wish I could have spent the time talking to him.

I just want to say that I have never heard the term "Waifu" before, so sorry if I used it wrong. Physical attraction is not a part of my choices at all.

The world's sexiest space engineer, of course!

Despite the shit-storm of mediocrity and failure that was the third Dead Space game, I will still maintain that Isaac Clarke is not only my favourite video game character, but also one of my biggest crushes in all of fictionland. He just has everything I could want; he's relatable, sympathetic, intelligent, funny, and succeeds as much through wits and guile as he does through sheer badassery. He also likes playing with squeaky toys as much as I do:

Gah, OP stole one of my top picks! Aegis is simply amazing, there's nothing else to it! And who cares if she's a robot?! She has a soul, so by Persona rules she's basically human anyway!

As for my other waifu, well...

Misaki Kirihara it badass AND rocks the librarian look! What's not to love!?

A fictional character from non-live-action visual media (typically an anime, manga, or video game) that one is attracted to...
Well that's easy, I really like...

and considers a significant other.
Nope. Nope nope nope.

I cannot say with a straight face that I consider someone who isn't real my significant other.

Not even jokingly can I say I'm married to ___!

EDIT: Sponsored threads... ugh. <_<

Good man, I need to play more Visual Novels.
I'm stuck in a loop with wanting Kud Wafter and playing the whole Galaxy Angel series. (Which is great by the way, especially if you love RTS games)

That method that you use seemed complicated, but least it still translate a bit of it at a time.
But I'm a lazy person who would rather wait for the full translation.

All my waifus reject me. I guess the closest thing I have is Bianca, she doesn't want to be my waifu but she still hangs out with me.

Man, I really need to find myself a grimmer avatar, this one doesn't suit my recent posts at all.

Yeah, no, I'd never consider a waifu a significant other, not even in jest, it's just too cringeworthy.

However.

It's Mako time!

And when I say waifu, I mean a character that is really endearing to me, not someone I want to have sex with, because that's just fucking creepy, especially considering the age of most of the characters I've seen in this thread.

The fuck's a Waifu? The parameters of that definition just give me even more questions. Attracted to, fine, but 'considers a significant other..?' - Does that mean they have to be part of 'team' or 'party'? I thought S/Os were agreed by common consensus to be a identify-neutral parlance for romantic or sexual partnership? Is that just the daydream aspect of the term? Especially applied to linear entertainment - is it just both drooling over and rooting for a character? Romantic Favoritism? How does this concept even work?

...

But, alas, while I don't know what I'm talking about, I'll point out what I guess were my alleged 'Waifus' (or just 'fancied fictions') that I can remember.

Jesus Christ, I'm linking deviantart by the first entry.
... and GlaDOS...

I got embarrassingly into cultivating that list... Now that the broad strokes of my sexual id (as seen through a list of fictional characters from geek culture) are on the table I'm going to blast some amphetamines and jerk it raw go to bed.

Neither, sure there have been some female anime characters that I have an attraction to but not to the point I want them to be my "waifu" making sound like she is my thing/ object.

Now, I don't just have one waifu, mind you... Let me list 5 others (in no particular order) that are not Rainbow Dash... (since I don't think, despite having more things in common than meets the eye, she would except me for who I am...)

http://cdn.superbwallpapers.com/wallpapers/anime/yozora-mikazuki-and-sena-kashiwazaki-10951-1360x768.jpg
Yeah... Just try to guess which one I choose over the other the most... (I dare you...)

Fun Fact: She is one of the MAIN reasons why I choose Persona 3 over 4... (Yeah, I said it...)
http://www.oassf.com/en/media/images/fluttershy-cartoon.png
Yeah... Rainbow Dash isn't the only Pegasus from MLP:FiM I have my eyes on... (despite Fluttershy being my second favorite pony next to Rainbow Dash...)

Not my first waifu to have... But, definitely the LONGEST one in my waifu "harem" of a list...

...And that's it... I'm not sure what this proves about me, though...
