Well, Christian Bale. If you think about it, it could actually work, he looks kind of like a bond and he is British, i think.

This pisses me off so much, James Bond is a character in the books by Ian Flemming, If it is someone who doesnt even resemble that Bond that is the main character and the story doesnt even resemble the writing style of the great writer that made the book so popular, its not a fucking bond movie, its just an action movie, even if its good.
like Shelock Holmes, great movie but nothing even remotly related with the books to the books except the setting, call it something else, dont just ruin a clear cut image of a character just so you don't need to think of a solid backstory, because its easier to just buy the rights to.

Nerd Rage Over, im on to you Hollywood...

In fairness of Mr.Bale he has shown himself to not be Batman in several good films such as The Machinist and American Psycho and I think he could bring back the "out there" aspect of Bond that seems to have been replaced by gritty realism a.k.a fagballs

I think your about 20 movies too late to complain about the source material having nothing much to do with the character etc. Though ironically the Daniel Craig films are supposed to drawn from the source material and they are frankly drivel....James Bond should have just carried on being out there and basically a cold blooded killer.

JUSTIN BEIBER!!!!!!! (cue fan-girls screaming for no reason)

haha, no, that would be the WORST possible thing! Would be cool if Pierce could come back... Goldeneye is the classic "Bond" movie for me, since I grew up with it, so I'd like him to come back.

More seriously, for a new person, hmmm.... no.. no one popular comes to mind.

You know what, I think it's time to put Bond to bed. There's really nothing more you can do with the franchise that hasn't been done already. And without Sean Connery, Bond just isn't as entertaining.

I hope a black guy plays the next bond. I'm kinda tired of all the whiteys on the screen pretending to be playboys and saving the world....
*epic stare* You can't be serious.

Edit: *looks at profile* yes, your not serious.

I think Sam Worthington could probably pull off bond I would prefer Worthington to Bale. However the very idea that Will Smith could be considered infuriates so much I want to vomit. If Will Smith EVER becomes James Bond i will go on a good ol' fashion murder-suicide spree.

Hmmm, If I were to cast a new bond, I would get Jude Law. Yeah, he's not a badass like Craig, but that might be a cool spin on the character.

Although truth be told, Will Smith has way more charisma than Sam Worthington and Christian Bale, and I think the Bond character is best served with that kind of actor. If Craig was out, I wouldn't mind seeing Jason Statham take a crack at it. I think he fits the bill for the character on a lot of the points.
Bond's Charm + Statham's Glower Power.

He wouldn't need a gun anymore.

What? No! What about, um, Clive Owen?
I think that Clive Owen was considered before Craig but he turned it down.

The problem with Will Smith is that he isn't British. I'm not sure I want to listen to him try to fake an accent, or worse, pull a Kevin Costner.

I'm also pretty sure there is a rule that says you can't be both James Bond and Batman.

Color me crazy, but someone on IMDB suggested Taye Diggs as a Bond a few years back. People poo-pooed the idea, since obviously Bond is a white guy, but I sort of liked it. He's a smooth cat on screen, and looks sharp; in a tux or in a fight. The question though, how would people really react to a black man as James Bond? I'd actually like to see them try it some time. Heck, out of place or not, at least Taye Diggs isn't that stiff hump Roger Moore.

That said, I really dig Daniel Craig's Bond, and I certainly hope that whatever happens he's on board for more slick spy action.
