"Also even if call of duty went in a different direction, it is still a console shooter which means it is inspired by halo."
I strongly disagree. There were more console shooters you obviously haven't played or heard about. It's not like Halo is the mother of all FPS's on consoles... Check your facts first before rage commenting.
You obviously don't the definition of rage. Also like I said before. OPINION,OPINION,OPINION!
I shall repeat since you replied before I finished the edit:
You can't say "it's my opinion" about this, that's like saying "oh right it's my opinion that gravity doesn't exist". You can say it, go ahead too, but it boils down to this: you're full of it.
Face it. Halo wasn't the inspiration to all the console shooters by definition.
There. And, I do believe I know the definition of rage...
Also, I think as a lot of people before me have made perfectly clear: there is nothing wrong with being a fanboy, but it doesn't hurt to look at other people's arguments.
I have the Halo trilogy, bought them all, played them all. Even still, I think Halo one was the best of the trilogy (excluding graphics of course) and since then it has been focused
even more on multiplayer than on the already short single player campaign (except for Bungie wanting to have you play it a lot just to get the skulls - not only for the hardest difficulty now, mind you).
What makes a game good is if you enjoy it or not, and some people just enjoy other games than others. So every game is likely to have haters and lovers.
