Because they like to keep bugs in there games! All there debugging is done once the game is out.

Yeah, hopefully the new creation engine will do good for skyrim.
It would be very hard to bugfix, there is bound to be TONS of numbers to deal with.

New Vegas is not Bethesda's fault. They game the engine to someone else, Obsidian, to build a game with. The engine is flawed from obsidians tinkering. As for Oblivion, I have played that game with as many as 50 mods with no problem, back in the day, where the old glitches were caused by the mod makers forgetting a texture or something.

Probably because their games have massive environments and complex AI and gameplay systems. Also they probably don't leave themselves much time to bug test.
"complex AI" HA-hahaha, thats a good one.
but yeah betheda is one of a few companies who let bugs stay in, or even down right maintain them, if they're funny/improving the game somehow.
unfortunately they also happen to be the only company to do this who forgets that there are bugs that make gameplay shit.
Oh sorry, I meant do slightly more than stand around and shoot things.

Bethesda is an incredibly lazy company when it comes to optimizing and bug fixing. Not saying they don't make good games, though.

Well, okay, Fallout 3 was basically a non-canon mess, and I didn't particularly enjoy Oblivion, but overall they make pretty good games.
