Why are main characters always right handed?

Because most people are Right handed so it only helps to connect?
Also, in Disgaea the character's handed-ness depends on the direction you're look at the field at. One second they can be holding a sword in their right hand, then you turn the map and bam! They're left handed!

Because most people are right handed. Though I admit I dont like it for the FPSs because I shoot left handed in real life.
As many others have said - because most /people/ are right-handed.
Although, what side they hold their weapon on doesn't necessarily mean that they're using their dominant hand to do so. I know people who are right-hand, left-eye dominant. They tend to shoot lefty.

If I remember correctly, Adventures was originally meant to feature Krystal as the one and only main character and wasn't supposed to be part of the Star Fox universe at all. At the last minute they decided to make it Star Fox and put Fox in as the lead, possibly preserving the same animations. Perhaps it is Krystal (or the girl who was meant to be Krystal) who is the south paw, not Fox proper and he merely inherited her animations?Aura Guardian said:
