I will admit it was a bit out of context. I basically meant that it's simple to the extent that every action and control makes sense.

I can try listing what I found in it that was poorly done.weker:
FO3 is a awesome game its just buggy most of dlc where good and when i say what is unbalanced i would like you to be more specific.
I never implied that console games never get pirated. It's just that in my experience, console pirates don't preach about it and act all justified and arrogant about it.Zephirius said:Right. Because console games never get pirated (2 of my friends do it all the time and a third is considering it. They have tried to convince me to do it too).Mantonio said:Elitism mainly. Also, there's the big deal with piracy, and the compounded annoyance of people who call Console gamers 'casual morons' that are 'ruining the industry', before turning to their computers and going 'OH &"%@! CONTRA 4 JUST GOT DUMPED! CAN'T WAIT TO PLAY THIS %"@^, PIRATAN!'
that would be a short fight.Space Spoons said:Probably for the same reason that console gamers get so much hate; some bizarre notion of brand loyalty, familiarity with what one uses the most, and the perception that the gamers from the other faction are "elitist assholes".
If PC Gamers vs Console Gamers were a summer blockbuster, this would be the part where one of them says "We're not so different, you and I."
Then they team up to fight tabletop pen & paper gamers.

Fair enough. Though the reason you never hear console pirates going on about it is because piracy is much more recognized as a PC thing, console piracy on a large scale being fairly new (can't pirate cartridges) and almost all the discussions are about PC piracy. I guess that has to do with the openness of the platform, making it much easier to pirate things than on a console. Perhaps PC users just have more free time to waste on pointless discussions and flamewars about piracy, who knows.Mantonio said:I never implied that console games never get pirated. Oh god yeah... that really irritates me. They should be hoping for their form of gaming to improve, not for PC gaming to decline in quality.Sark said:PC's are generally more powerful and can allow change to how games are played. They are generally more expensive, if you do not include the moniter(Including the moniter would mean including the TV when buying a console). PC gamers expect a level of quality when purchasing games. Features that have previously been taken for granted, such as dedicated servers, are unavailable on consoles for a myriad of reasons.
Consoles are a simpler and far more casual way of gaming. The beauty of the system is the everything just works.
As for why PC gamers get so much hate, it is probably a mix of jealousy and disdain for elitism.
What annoys me the most about the "dedicated server" issue and the insueing rage, is the reaction of console gamers. Many times I found the same response which generally can be summed up as "HA! Now your on our level". This attitude was selfing and outright stupid, as rather than mocking others for being brought down to inferior technology, they should have been trying to get themselves on the higher level of technology.

Maybe they're just annoyed by you parading your complete ignorance of PC gaming and forming risible opinions from it.HotFezz8 said:[..]
a pc gamer on the other hand needs a computer, a mouse, RAM, graphics, a game, minimum space on the hard drive, minimum specohforfucksakeimborednow...
plus irregardless of what people say (anyone who argues with this statement, you're lying) pc gaming is a fuck of alot more expensive than console gaming.
both of those make any pc gamers i know snooty and stuck up when it comes to talking about their gaming experiences.
You're right, but you're missing one factor. PC games are cheaper than console games, which is obviously a factor in the overall cost of gaming. Console games include a payment to the console company, which of course is passed on to the customer.Dys said:[..]It is never as simple as saying "consoles are awlays cheaper than PCs" or vice versa, and if you do I garuntee you have no fucking clue.
In practice, it isn't as good as it first seems. The casing of the monitors really gets in the way. It's like fitting bars to the windscreen of your car - irritating. Also...who can afford 6 good monitors and a PC capable of rendering games at 3x2 times the native resolution of them? You're looking at anything up to 7680x3200 (2560x1600 is a standard PC resolution).happysock said:Wow that is pretty sweet
I beg to differ.tryx3 said:Well, generally maintaining a PC to play modern games can be expensive, which is why a pc gamer can come off as an elitist.
Have an xbox360 and ps2 (no ps3 yet but I plan on buying one) for the past few years but have been using pc's for bout 10 years, just bought a nice new shiny one from ocuk for lots of moniesSantoUno said:How is that stereotypical PC hater? I don't hate PC gamers, just the elitist and high-and-mighty ones. Everything I mentioned is from posts that I see all the time, I didn't generalize all PC gamers like that, and why the hell do you say console-KIDDIE? I could call someone PC kiddie and it wouldn't make sense so I don't understand why you would say thatSneaklemming said:Can I call it? - ok I will...SantoUno said:*snip*
The above quote is the steroyptical anti-PC gamer console-kiddie.
I'm not trying to insult you good sir, I'm merely trying to point out the irony.
Also - PC controls are better for everything. why? because if you're playing street fighter (which is next to impossible on a keyboard) you simply plug in a controller...
And no offense but you just proved my point by saying that PC controls are better for everything. That is just your opinion, it's not fact, yet so many PC gamers always make that stupid statement over and over again like if it is a fact.
