Its because bungie basically kept on releasing the same game over and over, they got boring, I don't HATE Halo, they just stopped being fun, And yes I have played all of them fully through and played some online
I think that's a good point. While I am a fan of the Halo series, i'll be the first one to admit that they should have used Halo 2 to introduce features that expanded beyond the core gameplay of the original.Another problem I have with the gameplay is that, for one, nothing has changed in 9 years. There's no customization, even in Reach, as the powers and abilities have little effect beyond rare and strange circumstances.
uh... what?Owyn_Merrilin said:You know, I honestly like Halo. Compared to the majority of shooters we have today, it's fast paced, arcadey, and unrealistic fun. But I hated it when it first came out. The reason? Compared to the shooters we had then, it was slow paced, overly realistic, and the "feel" was off. I still dislike it to an extent, because Halo: Combat Evolved is the single game that is most responsible for the modern, slow paced games that only allow two guns, a grenade, and a melee weapon, which also do away with health packs -- although Halo 2 has a lot to answer for that last one. I just find it ironic that the genre has exaggerated the features that made Halo so unique to the point that the series, with very few gameplay changes over the years, now occupies the exact opposite niche that it held when it was first released.
