But yeah, kids these days are idiots and fuck wits. It's why I try to never leave the house.

I wouldn't know about these "people" you talk about because I rarely go outside.
I do remember something similar happening to me.
There were two boys who were riding their bikes.
One of them stopped close to me and said: "Ugly ******, I fucked your mother yesterday."
These kids were about 9 or 10 years old and foreign (not that it matters).
Upon saying that he tried to ride away like a coward.
Unfortunately for him, I can outrun his bike.
I rammed his bike from the side with my body and he crashed into a wall (by that point his friend was fleeing like they always do).
I thought I should teach the kid a lesson so I pummeled him with his own bike while he was down.
I let him run home with his bruises and his broken bike after I was done.
Some people call that harsh, but screw it.

I fought back and those kids never bothered me again.
I'm not sure if this makes me a bad person or not but...I commend you for that.
I can't stand kids like that. I don't understand how their parents let them say and do those sorts of things, but at the same time I seriously can't stop myself from being angry at the person who said it and I want to pummel them myself...
I don't have the guts though because I'm afraid of the concequences...
I don't think what you did was right, but I can't say I wouldn't have done the same thing -_-
However hypocritical that may be...

I can't understand the way you're feeling, I get that often, especially if I wake up and something happens early in the morning to put me in a bad mood.
There are times that there is just bad person after bad person all on the same day, and it makes you lose hope in society for a while...
Usually something happens later to give you a pick-me-up though. :] Like...GivesMeHope.com. However conry that site is, it often does it's job.
Heck even Mylifeisaverage.com makes you realise that mankind isn't ALWAYS all bad.
Sometimes people just need to have a good vent about it though, which is understandable, so just cry about it, there's nothing wrong with that.

I have a sorta of similar story, was walking down my hometown to go get a pizza with a couple of friends, when this kid must have been 10 asks have i got any fags, (I don't smoke and as such didn't have any) I told him that i didn't. Then behind this kid was another smaller child, he must have been 6 at best. And he asks me the same question, if i have any cigarettes, the worse thing about was the kid couldn't even say the word, and was pretty much running around begging for one. That made me kinda depressed tbh

It's called modern society.

A bunch of uncaring, dispassionate, violent, selfish bunch of pricks.

You just gotta find the minority who aren't. It's difficult.
Actually, I think it's just society and the term modern doesn't really have much to do with it. If you look at a lot of the famous literature that has survived from long ago, you see that it used to be the exact same. Quite a lot of literature is filled with the kind of cynicism that's frowned upon in modern works, and you can bet they were generally frowned upon by a lot of people when they were released.

When all goes wrong though, you can always fall back on the Bill Hicks manta.

'cause that's how powerful our minds really are.

It goes up and down
And round and round
It has chills and thrills
And it's brightly colored
And it's very loud
And it's fun... for while.

Most people have been on the ride for a long time and begin to question...
"Is this real, or is this just a ride?"
But someone who has remembered and is kind enough turns back to us and says:
"Don't worry, don't be afraid, ever! Because...
"This is just a ride"

So hey, how's the sociopathy treating you, nutjob.

Seriously. A kid?
You beat up a nine, ten year old kid, and you think you are justified?
With a fucking bike, no less. Jesus christ. What the fuck is wrong with you.
How old are you, anyway. I am hoping no older than fourteen, because seriously. That shit is not fucking okay.
It's wrong to do that to a full grown adult. Let alone a child.
i thought the same thing

It's probably a lot to do with the area you live in - wherever Chippenham is?

But good tip if you get disgusted by the people around you is always have music playing when you're out and about. I always walk through Glasgow city centre (lots of assholes there) with one headphone in so I can be in my own little world.

Another thing to do if someone is speaking to you in a disrespectful way is to act like you are doing sign language - generally makes them feel bad and stop talking to you. I did this while having music blaring in from my headphone and the guy still bought it

I expect you're crying because you're sick of the average human being while also completely unable to do anything about it.

Now I probably cry like... Once a year but I do very often find myself wishing to be able to shoot fireballs out of my arse and level entire cities with a mere thought.

Why? So I can purge this world of every last fucking scumbag.

Like nearly every where I have lived, admittedly I live in Australia and we are kinda laid back over here.

Some kids are twats (mostly the chavs innit) they think that nobody matters except them, what I think is really wrong is that the parents get blamed for their kids actions. As a side note speaking as a 13 year old people should be able to belt kids who deserve it (which is probably most of them)

I actually asked my gradnfather about this. He said alot of baby boomers and such "Demand" respect because of the war, and the holocaust and all the shit that the world went through. He doens't have that mentality, but he's known alot of elderly men that decide "Because the haulocaust happened when I was alive, I demand respect"

Respect is earned, not granted, but the elderly seem to not know that.

I've run into alot of families like you desribed, but you can't shut yourself in, you just have to say fuck it. Remember: It takes all kinds to fill the world

Always try to look on the brighter side really, or take it into your own hands when possible.

Take myself for example, I go to alot of metal shows as do hardcore kids (the people that enjoy slam dancing or fighting the air). I don't mind slam dancing, as long as it doesn't get too close to me; however, when they start to veer off into the crowd and punching people in the face I lose it. Those people are immediately my target, they get an incredibly large ex-football player giving them a nice tackle (that also usually starts a good ol' mosh pit). Some of the people are afraid to do anything until I start something. They'll just take the violence towards them and whimper, until I set off the spark. I've seen far too many teenage girls get spin kicked in the face by a 20 year old asshole to just sit around and do nothing.

Now if you read all of that, do you think I'm in the wrong?
