Why is it always subs over dubs?

No matter the anime, I'll watch it dubbed not subbed. If I wanted to read anime, I'd pick up a manga.
What if its only available in subs O_O
Then I don't watch it.
Which is one of the reasons why I'm hating anime
Well if you learn Japanese then you wouldn't need to read the subs anymore :p
Nice loophole. But still...I'm also not liking a lot of anime lately. Especially the anime that to me, took the number 1 spot of the ones I hate.
Well like what new animes?

I think this one took the number one spot last year. (IMO)
I never heard of that one. But the anime that I hate the most is...
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya

As an off-topic note, I keep mixing you two up.

Since I don't have that game, yet, could I at least know which supers you have as avatars?
lol.
Mine is Tekkaman Blade's LV3 Hypercombo "Super Omnidirectional Voltekka."

Aura's Avatar has Megaman Volnutt using his Hyper Combo "Super Machine Gun"(i think that's what its called) and Frank West using his Hyper Combo "The Real Megabuster" in a Crossover Hyper Combo Attack.

I prefer to have dubs over subs. Mainly because I sometimes can't keep up with subs and i get to pay more attention to an anime rather then the writting on the screen. If the dubs are truly horrible or if there aren't any then I will just watch the subs.

Well you will be glad to know that this anime is a sorta parody of Haruhi Suzumiya. It makes fun of it sorta...

And I thought you were Gigaguy XD

Because Naruto in Japanese doesn't make my ears bleed because he isn't speaking in a horrible English accent while screaming "BELIEVE IT!" over and over.

TBH, I'm not too picky. I can put up with the English voice acting, and I have to ask people who critique the Japanese voices, do you know Japanese? I'm not sure if anyone can properly critique VOs in a language they don't know. More than words differ among languages. The ways people express emotion can also be very different. But anyway, while I usually watch subs because they're more easily available to me, I'm not gonna care which one people "should" watch. That's just being judgmental.

I have never seen a dub that wasn't horrid.
GTO is one that was even good. Hellsing was ok, maybe. Other than those, at the risk of sounding prejudiced, I'll say I don't want to hear any dubs, I prefer hearing it in the original form.

I like to see things in the way they were created. Plus ever since I saw the original Godzilla in the subbed japanese version and noticed the humongous difference it never evened crossed my mind to watch a dubbed movie. (unless there's no other way to see it in theatres, which was the case for Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, and Ponyo for me D:)

When anime is dubbed, a lot of the original content is changed or left out, so that the original story or concept has been butchered. Also, a lot of Enlgish voice acting sucks. I don't care what reason you give, there is absolutely no excuse for ever watching Evangelion in English.

The dub actors rarely have the same acting skills than the original actors.
The only problem I have with that is, how can you really tell if they are doing a good job if you don't really know the language? What may sound good to you, might sound like shotty voice acting to them. Not saying its like that all the time, It's just the two-sided blade...argument...thing.

Again, just trying to back up my opinion for some of the dubs. If it fits the setting, it turns out amazing in english. Most voice-overs directed by Taliesin Jaffe(Hellsing, Beck, and Street Fighter 4)are incredible.

I can't say anything on any Shonen/Shonen Jump dubs, most of those are pretty bad...but I don't really much Shonen in the first place.

In general, I go with whichever version I hear first. I assign the first voice I hear to the character and it stays with me (all Links in Zelda games still sound like Luke de Ayora to me), so any other version feels... fake, somehow. The only exception I've ever made is for Spice and Wolf. I watched the sub for the first episode, but everything about the setting screamed "Medieval Europe" at me, so I went with the dub, which felt more natural.

Honestly, I can watch either subbed or dubbed anime and it does not bother me. I think Fullmetal Alchemist has an excellent dub and not everyone will agree with me on it. They have their opinions and I have my opinions. The fans I hate are the ones that berate anyone else because they like dubs or subs. They are the equivalent of an x-box 360 or ps3 fanboys.

I prefer subs to dubs mostly because thats usually where the quality is, or at least I delude myself into thinking that. If it's in japanese how am I to tell? Sure there are subtleties lost in watching a foreign language but I still quite like it, it allows me to watch the anime quicker and it even lets me learn a few words in japanese, bonus!

It's because the average Japanime fan feels something will be lost if they listen to it in a language they understand. They feel like if any whiteys touched it, it will be impure.
....there is this also.

They're flashy. I love flashy.

S'why I like the attacks from <url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ae2uHcQk1nI>Baten Kaitos Origins better than <url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0tyZO5Kppu4>the original.

I'm learning the language. Does that count?

Whether they're doing a good job or not is entirely in the ear of the beholder. I find Princess Tutu subbed to be much easier on the ears than Princess Tutu dubbed, regardless of what their "quality" might be. That's the only reason I can imagine for people saying that all English dubs suck, when something like Samurai Champloo exists.

Keep in mind, though...

...I'm certainly not arguing with this. To be judgmental is assholish.
