Hot young ladies who flaunt their curves in bikinis drive the middle-aged couples apart!
They charm the men and drown their love in the dunes.

It wasn't your fault, Billy. Those beach-sirens caused it all!

Well, they Should NOT be closed, why would you do that, its like banning heat in the midst of winter! - In russia! -while naked!

Especially in summer beaches should be open,i dont know what brainiac would come up with such a title for an essay :-O

Dangerous currents: dont swim a mile off shore

Sharks: Dont swim in warm seas, come to europe its safer

Cancer: You can preety much get cancer from anything these days, and if you dont want to get skin cancer from the sun, dont spend 10 hours in it,buy sunscreen or an umbrella.
you left out pollution and endangered species habitats. I don't know where you come from, but the beaches of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, are sometimes closed because they use the same water that the sewage plants and factories do, so when the chemical and bacterial levels get so high that asian people come out of the water whiter than snow, they have to close down. (it happens) also, an endangered species of bird recently started nesting on a section of beach and so that section has been declared a preservation zone and is now off limits to beachgoers.

Hey guys, my girlfriend and I need some help. For her english essay my gf needs to answer the question, "Why is it a good thing that beaches be closed in the summer?" so far we have come up with, sharks, dangerous currents and cancer. Any sensible help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

~Deadly
There are only 3 kinds of sharks in the world known to attack people, and only because they mistake surfers for sea turtles.

Massive amounts of tourists ruin the sand, which acts as a buffer zone. If the buffer zone is ruined, waves will hit nearby human settlements, causing massive amounts of damage. As the globe's temperature rises, more and more waves will hit the populated zones, killing many people and forcing the others to leave. Eventually, the rest of the nation's citizens will be hard pressed to support all the orphans and refugees that need to be housed, fed, and clothed. This will lead to more limited resources and some unsanitary conditions, making the population's overall health lower. Also, tension would arise, leading to possible civil war. If the nation's leaders were smart, they'd know that they have to focus all the country's tension on an outside factor, possibly a country with ample resources. This would lead to a massive military build-up and eventual war, killing more men, women, and children. All this would occur while carbon build-up still continues. Once the war is over, people would go back to polluting and sitting at the beach during summer. In a decade or two, the process would repeat itself.

This is why beaches should be closed during the summer.
