I'm sure you've all seen the project NATAL videos( if not check out youtube ) if yoou have u will notice it uses WII likemovements and such without the controller. So will it use this??? It would be amazing to work out your shield arm by actually raising your left arm to block, and your right arm to swing, I mean that would be EPIC! But how would movement be handled? Walking in place would confuse the xbox I'm sure... Or would it uses a mix of both controller and NATAL? LIke controlling movement with controller and use it like sword, but not the controller itself but your motions. Tell me what you think.

I doubt it. Elder Scrolls 5 will probably come out before Natal, and even so, it would be a gimmick for the game, and nothing more.

God I hope not. I have nothing against motion controls, but I can never become immersed while using them.

NO
IT WOULD RUIN EVERYTHING.
Gaming + Exercise = sports,

And if I wanted to do sports, I'd do SPORTS.
STAY AWAY FROM GAMING, MOTION SENSITIVITY!

Do you understand how horribly that would work out. I'm damn sure none wants to spazzticly fail their arms around to fight off a bear, or Satan. Most people like to sit down a relax when playing games. This is why most people aren't running and flailing their arms around outside.

I can't help but realize that I'm waving my arms around, I don't feel immersed, I feel distant.

No. Natal is a gimmick, and as such should not be a core piece to any big game's control scheme.

Is Elder Scrolls V even confirmed yet?

Hopefully the good people at Microsoft will keep NATAL in its place (luring away the casual gamers from the Wii) and won't try to ram this down developers' throats. I adore The Elder Scrolls games, and adding a motion sensor component would be gimicky at best and game-ruining at worst.

I like controller or keyboard better. Gimmicks like motion sensory usually just make people look really stupid while playing.

No, no, no. This is a terrible idea. They should only make games for Project Natal that are custom made for Project Natal. They should not try to jam established franchises (Halo, Elder Scrolls, etc. etc.) into the Natal mold to give them an extra gimmick for sales. Although you might get more in the short term, the franchises will lose some of their prestige. Consider how Mario games used to be. When Super Mario World and Super Mario 64 came out, they were highly anticipated and games people obsessed over. Ever since Nintendo started using gimmicks, people still buy these games, but they don't have anywhere near the excitement surrounding them. Microsoft and connected game developers need to be smart about this.

Microsoft should use natal to reach out to more casual, gimmicky gamers. It shouldn't be replacing the controller (especially after Microsoft basically perfected the design with the 360 model).

I think trying to get your argonian to do the right alteration spell by waving your arms around will make some hilarious youtube videos.

The PSWand and Dualshock? Maybe.

Natal? No. Too much complexity with that game, Natal doesn't seem to have what is necessary to play that game.
