Ehrrmmmm.... Maybe. I don't care for the kinds of ignorance I've encountered while living in various Southern states. You're right, though; I would've been just as annoyed if it was SoCal. There are all kinds of ignorance. I saw kids ostracized because they were Catholic, or because they dated someone who wasn't white. The same thing happens everywhere; up north it was for equally ignorant or petty reasons.
I've never been impressed by Southern hospitality, but that may be because I've found "country" folk to be friendly everywhere in the U.S.
It could just be after living in the hell hole that is L.A anything seems better in comparison. Though like you said,There is just a different type of Ignorance here, But at the same time you find people who defy it as well. As honestly everywhere I have traveled seems to be the same really, From Liverpool to L.A to Arkansas, Just gotta find the smart open minded people in all the places.

Which seems to be the "lower class" who is the most accepting.

I wish that happened in my school, just so I could walk around with pentagrams and rehearse spells in class.

You see it's schools that act like this that make everyone who are Christian look pretty stupid... Say since you can get rid of people that are in a club by voting them out I wonder if it's possible to vote all the stupid people out of christianity and leave all the smart nice people behind to worship in peace.

Interesting. I felt complied to reply to this thread as a Christian. Unfortunately I am torn between a feeling that this was unwarranted, yet at the same time I would like to know whether these allegations are true (In the sense that a "fake spell" was "cast"). I've never been one to buy into the witchcraft and demon stuff that fundementalist Christians go crazy about). Harrassment of any kind is completely wrong however...many times young Christians (and old especially)resort to this kind of rash action. I as a Christian in no way condone these types of acts, as I believe there are many different ways to go about dealing with such a situation. Truly loving the person but not condoning their actions is something that I find helps. I've done this regarding homosexuals as well (I went to public school), they are human beings just as much as we are! In the end this is a dissapointing story...but one that I need to know more about before I make any decisions regarding it.

As a side note while I was writing I realized that I believe in a God and his son Jesus Christ but not demons...both supernatural elements. I'd never realized this inconsistency in my views. Perhaps I will think about this, although my faith in God will not diminish. And please avoid replying to my posts with insults or calls to rethink my religion. I respect the views written above (and perhaps possibly below :)

Sheesh, if the teacher was a serious Christian at all, the hex would have failed... and if you tell me it worked because Christianity is a hoax, I say Wicca is too.
