I'm not sure what's worse, the fact that she tried to do this or the fact that someone was actually going to take her up on the offer.

To be fair the guy might have just been planning to take her money and then not follow through. What would she do, call the cops? That doesn't make it any less stupid though. It's pretty funny actually, like something you'd see in a three stoodes comedy.

Anyone who would consider hiring an assassin, or even who would take the time to learn how to hire an assassin, is mentally unsound and not to be trusted. In fact, the mere knowledge of how to find a hitman should itself be a crime, as such knowledge can only be used for harmful reasons.
