They say that each person has a bridge to the underworld. If that is so, then London's bridge has fallen down.

....Okay, I'm sorry, I'll go home now. :(

I love a good quote to end a stupid moment.
Question. Did she actually think she would get away with it?

No wait. Better question. If she were to say this out loud, do you think she would have noticed how stupid this plan was?

"I'll get a hitman! From Facebook! No-one will EVER KNOW!"

I doubt it. Facebook users are notorious for forgetting that the things they make public are, in fact, being made public. If you seriously believe that your request for a hitman will go unnoticed by everybody except potential hitmen, this plan just might look good enough to work.

According to Lieutenant John Walker, "It's shocking that people are just so stupid."
Except it unfortunately isn't that shocking... I meet more and more incredibly stupid people as the years go by...

Woman was given 8 months in jail in the UK for facebooking a defendant during a trial of which she was on the jury for... DURING THE TRIAL!! Held in contempt of court and sentenced for her sheer fucking stupidity. As a result the multi-million pound trial involving a drugs trafficking ring collapsed...

Didn't this happen once before already? Except it was some young adult male who tried to hire a hitman to silence his girlfriend, or something like that, because she found something incriminating / embarrassing / something along those lines.

Yet more reason i hate social networking. It gives prime examples of human stupidity, which is the sort of thing i go on the internet to escape from.

I can easily believe this because escapist has posted at least 2 similar articles about people hiring hitmen over facebook. So yes escapist I can believe people have a common issue of recurring stupidity. :)

I do not believe this is real. If there was such a post, and then I'm sure it was just a woman bitching about her ex-partner. A friend of her's replies continuing the joke.

Remember that the only people who see our posts are our friends so facebook is not a place to advertise for services.

Augh too bad she already bred. stupid people getting there just rewards for shear stupid choices.

Oh BTW joking about it? that would stand up in court like a tower of cards. she commited a felony just posting it and since there was no "I'm joking" at the end of the sentance she is screwed.

"Hmm, where shall I make a request to murder my relative? I know! How about a site where everyone especially relatives of the person I'm trying to have assassinated can see and comment on it! The perfect crime!"

OT: I really hope this lady posted her murder request as her facebook status.

it's hilarious the things that are on facebook: specifically that fucking looter in vancouver lighting a police car on fire admitting to everything he did that day.

It was immature but I joined the facebook group calling him a dick.

Whoa, wait, you go on the internet to escape human stupidity?

Also, this kinda surprises me - an 18 year old took up her offer? Seriously? He must think he's real tough...

Erm... use email? I mean them getting caught on facebook could have been prevented by simply using another form of communication...
