According to Lieutenant John Walker, "It's shocking that people are just so stupid."
Understatement of the century right there.
I mean, JESUS CHRIST! Why?! Just.... WHY?
Who would even...
You know what, screw the world. I'm done.

In Cartman's words, "Screw you guys, I'm going home."

Things like this make me love the internet.
and prove my point that most people are morons
Rather hasty comment there, don't you think? In a world filled with 6 billion people, 2 idiots are put into a new story that some how makes the majority of us stupid?

Don't think that really proves anything.

I'm no expert at these sort of things, but $1,000.00 seems to be a low ball offer for sure. Hey... I'm just saying.. :p

First Friends Lists now Hit Lists? (This had better be in the new Hit Man game. Get on that, Eidos!)
I wonder if a person will try to use Facebook to issue death sentences on enemies of given groups, order full-blown pogroms or air-strikes next.

Wait, so the would-be assassin got charged with Attempted Murder? From what I could tell, they never got that far before they got busted. I would think the guy would only get a charge of Conspiracy To Commit Murder. Unless the police stepped in just in time to keep White from getting killed. Except the assassin got arrested after the woman, so that's impossible.

I'm not condoning what the guy did, I'm just saying he got ripped off. Damn state, always going a step too far.

Wow. Whether or not she was joking (which she'll probably claim whether or not it's the truth), why would she put a message like that on Facebook of all places where your friends, family, employers, etc. can see it?

Even worse, some stupid guy actually took it seriously and replied. What is the world coming to?

Honestly, i'm a little concerned over if it was a joke or not.

I mean, that's really not uncommon on the average teenagers facebook. "I would honestly pay for someone to kill kyle right now" is a status I remember at one point. She didn't mean it and her and kyle are actually friends, but nobody else would know

"People are stupid" is an overused expression. People can behave quite foolishly, but honestly, its rare that people are just broadly painted with a stupid brush. Most examples of, "Stupidity" are misunderstandings, cynical interpretations from the outside, or one of those chance examples of run of the mill mistakes that randomly happen to all of us, mixed with a healthy dose of bad luck. Laughing at the stupidity here is easy, but the far more likely scenario is that the woman was frustrated beyond belief, and mixed that with a rather harsh joke. And then a friend of hers decided to hop on the bandwagon, knowing full well that they wern't being serious, and the authorities had no choice but to take it seriously. Reasonable, if mistaken, assumptions and actions leading to something that appears really stupid.

This seems to be coming more and more common. And it always seems like its out of Pennsylvania. What the hell is up with my state that we're constantly trying to hitmen online. At least hire domestic, and at that state domestic. I'm sure you'll find some wanna be gang bangers who will do it for a G or two.

DISCLAIMER: I do not advocate or recommend hiring a hit man to solve your problems, contrary to whatever the above may say.
