I'm lucky enough that most of the insults come from one of my siblings rather than my parents or grandparents, since that would probably hurt a lot more. Even then, the worst I get is a jab at me generally not having a relationship yet or something ("are you gay" and similar quips) from one of my brothers. I still love him, but also think that he's kind of a huge moron.

While not actually an insult, I recall a time when I wanted to tell my dad that I was basically an atheist (I live in Mississippi, so you can pretty much guarantee most people follow some Christian religion), and he would not wrap his head around the idea. I found it kind of annoying, and a bit hurtful, but not in a long-term sense. Luckily, my mom said she supports me making my own decisions, so I don't really feel any worse off for it.

Generally, my family is pretty light on any insults that get thrown my way. So I think I'm EXTREMELY lucky in comparison to a lot of people.

After being raised by a family that always taught me the importance of not listening to the local gossip and heresay, my boyfriend gets in trouble for something they heard other people say he said and my parents wanted him out of the house.

My parents have become fucking stupid in their old age.

Dunno if this is the WORST, but there's a pretty sick burn my Dad got on me once.

I'm known for not having very many friends in real life. Like I'd imagine many of you, I'm not exactly a social butterfly.

Well one time my folks were going out of town for the weekend and asked me to house sit. So a few days before they left we were all at the dinner table and I was asking a few questions about when they were leaving, trying to get the details right. My Mom jokingly said "Why? You plan on throwing a party while we're gone?"

To which I sarcastically said "Oh yeah, while you're gone I'm just gonna invite over everyone I know and show off the whole house."

Then my Dad, without even looking up from his plate said "She's already seen it."

Touche, Dad...Touche...

My sister once told me she thought at one point during our teenage years that I'd grow up to be a "proper sociopath". She wasn't far off the mark there, given my tendencies towards misanthropy and rejection of social standards.

I'm a nice guy, honestly. Just don't offend my sensibilities.

Been told on multiple occasions by both parents that I was a mistake, they wish they had aborted me, that I'm a worthless lazy piece of shit, etc.

My parents are not good people, I could probably hit the forum's character cap if I were to attempt to list off all the terrible shit they've said/done to me, so long story short, basically everything they've done ever.

I guess the best one has to be them diagnosing me with autism because I played a lot of Videogames... They seemed so convinced i was some kind of severely socially handicapped person that when i started going out (when i was 16) with friends they would never put any kind of time limit (unlike for my br'os in the past) and would even push me to go out. I guess at the end of the day their ludicrously false belief ended up serving me well.
