I'm lucky enough that most of the insults come from one of my siblings rather than my parents or grandparents, since that would probably hurt a lot more. Even then, the worst I get is a jab at me generally not having a relationship yet or something ("are you gay" and similar quips) from one of my brothers. I still love him, but also think that he's kind of a huge moron.
While not actually an insult, I recall a time when I wanted to tell my dad that I was basically an atheist (I live in Mississippi, so you can pretty much guarantee most people follow some Christian religion), and he would not wrap his head around the idea. I found it kind of annoying, and a bit hurtful, but not in a long-term sense. Luckily, my mom said she supports me making my own decisions, so I don't really feel any worse off for it.
Generally, my family is pretty light on any insults that get thrown my way. So I think I'm EXTREMELY lucky in comparison to a lot of people.
