That CG clone wars show pisses me off, to the point I'm declaring it non canon and just believing the oldschool animated clone wars happened...It's got some interesting points, such as going into the psychology of the clones but...everything else makes me want to beat my head against a wall. Also, what they did to Poor Grievous (after being shown what he can do in the old clone wars series...) is completely unacceptable!

So. Many. Shows.

Kid's shows were alot better back in the early 90's, grew up on DBZ, BeyBlades, Digimon, Thomas The Tank Engine, Sam and Max. (I did anyway.)

Now its all this educational crap like Dora The Explorer and shit.
Can't say I enjoyed Beyblade. It was just a bit too stupid for me. Underground dreidel competitions with monsters?

But the rest of those, definitely. I loved the Sam and Max cartoon. And Thomas was great. Oh how I hate what it has become though. Remember how Thomas used to be extensive model trains that looked really impressive? This is what modern thomas looks like.

It is truly horrific.
JESUS FUCKING CHRIST MY EYES! They raped my childhood show! ;______;
W-what!? T-THOMASSS!!! WHAT HAVE THEY DONE TO YOU!?

I miss the old Clone Wars cartoon. Especially because it was made by the guy who did Samurai Jack. Yep, that Samurai Jack.

Well, I don't watch cartoons that much besides Simpsons, MLP, and Futurama, but I would nominate Family Guy. Mostly because of the hypocritic themes, idiotic jokes, blatant plagiarism, and repetitiveness.

After reading a lot of the comments I'm almost scared to say this, but everything on Cartoon Network (excluding a few things from Adult Swim, since chances are people will group these two together).I remember back when it had good shows--Samurai Jack, some stuff from Hanna-Barbara that hadn't been moved to Boomerang yet (I for some reason have always liked the original Scooby-Doo series--as in, the very first one), Dexter's Laboratory, even The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy had its moments of hilariously dark humor. Those days are gone now. What do we have left? Chowder, Johnny Test, and The Amazing World of a Creature Whose Name Is Synonymous with That Crap We Continue to Step In.

As a reminder that bad cartoons existed prior to today.

DBZ, I watched a few episodes as a kid, it was like taking a root canal to my mind. I tried watching a few recently, same story.

No semblence of an engaging plot, utterly generic (which is quite an accomplishment considering that I thought this BEFORE it spawned a genre), literally just dumb. The show has no redeeming aspects and the only reason it's fondly remembered at all is that a lot of people grew up with it.

Hello Nostalgia!

If you're gonna try to say stuff was better back then, try naming stuff that actually holds up like Batman the animated series, animaniacs, or Gargoyles. Not the stuff where the only substantative difference between it and modern cartoons is that you weren't in the target demographic when it was on air.

I agree with you one hundred percent. I'd like to promote pretty much the entire network from "Annoying" to "Officially made my shit list". With a few token exceptions of course.

Oh that's easy then. Family Guy. Most definitely Family Guy.

2nd and 3rd place to go American Dad and Cleveland Show because they're the exact same damn thing as Family Guy, but with characters that look different.

Indeed, after all...does the CG series have anything that can top THIS:

No. Kids and adults can both find that movie equally enjoyable

Should only children watch and enjoy the Toy Story films?
Again, no. Same answer as above.

Should only children watch and enjoy Invader Zim?
I'm not so sure that kids should be allowed to watch Invader Zim. That show is seriously dark and fucked up, though what do you expect from the creator of Johnny the Homicidal maniac?.

I've been giving the following some thought. The sad thing about Ben 10 and Generator Rex is that when you step back and think about it for a second you realize that the concepts are actually pretty fucking badass. I mean think about it, one is about an alien watch that allows its user to transform into literally any known species of alien in existence and if you meet a species not in the database you can just scan them and Bam! New alien. The other is about a kid with the ability to generate machines from his body. The only real limitation is his imagination. Unfortunately both protagonists are insufferable, spoiled brats. Which just makes it all the worse because the rest of the cast of each show is not all that bad. But during the times I watched each show I wanted punch both protagonists in the throat with a pair of spiked brass knuckles.

What do you mean? I watched Invader Zim as a kid, and I turned out just fine...

But seriously my comment was in response to that guy saying that all cartoons are for children and that only they can watch them, at least that's what it seemed like he was saying.

ya it would be If the animation didn't suck and the voice actors were tolerable and all the characters weren't so stupid and 1 note.
All the best cartoon characters are one note. Bugs Bunny? What's his deal? He's an asshole. There's nothing more to him. Fred Flinstone's Jackie Gleeson, Donald Duck flies into murderous rages. I could go on and on. Hell whole shows have been structured around 1-note characters. I present to you Gilligan's Island.

If you never saw the show it's essentially LOST, with Bob Denver in place of Matthew Fox only nothing like that. Everything you need to know about the characters is told to you in the intro, with the exception that Gilligan is an idiot and all of "and the rest" comprises Mary-Anne who's whole deal is she's nice. And as a kid I loved this show, even I knew it was fantastic cheese. Well there is one part I still think about today.

But seriously I've rambled at you long enough. If you're still with me, it's fine to hate Johnny Test. I don't but it's fine with me if others do. I'm not saying that you're wrong to.
