God of War 2.
After hours of frustrating puzzles, boss fights that made me throw the controller down in rage, playing for so long that I actually because to think "R2" whenever I picked something up, and what do I get?
Nothing! A big, fat nothing. I get to the final boss only to realize that it wasn't the final boss. So I run around for a bit and then I start to head to what is the final boss fight, only to have the credits come up.
It was thoroughly unsatisfying. Oh, and you should have seen my face when I found out that the third and final game is only coming out for the PS3. Ironically, that day my mother asked me if I wanted a PS3 for Christmas. I, idiot that I am, turned her down. xD

The book ends with him plumeting of a cliff to the end of the earth, with no maghook and being pretty much screwed, it just ended. Luckily hte book is released like yesterday so i can get it soon and find out what happened
