Anyway, coming up after this short break; Uwe Boll has been selected to direct the films based on the Mass Effect and Warcraft franchises, a video-game based on the Twilight series has been announced, and 1979 film The Warriors is going to be receiving a modern-day reimagining.

Sadly, I'm not joking about that last one.

So Escapist if you woke up tommorow to the worst entertainment news ever what would it be?
For me its between:
"Michael Bay todirect new Firefly series" or
"Bethesda giving up on TES:5"

TES:5 cancelled
or
Black Mesa Source Cancelled
or
HL2:Ep3 Cancelled

Been waiting for all three for years, any of them being cancelled would destroy my day.

I hate to break it to both of you but...

"We are working on our next big game but we are not talking about it", Bethesda game director Todd Howard said during his QuakeCon 2009 keynote (via the Big Download).

But that game is not Elder Scrolls V. Howard said that there are "no current plans" for another game in that series.

So right now, it?s hard to say what Bethesda's next project will be. Who knows, we may actually be in for an entirely new IP. Or we might be in for an Elder Scrolls MMO, of which Howard jokingly said "there?s always a chance."

They actually have cancelled TES:5. At least for a long time.
