Final Fantasy 8, and all after and including 10-2.
All Spyro Games after number 3.
All Crash Bandicoot's after they switched to PS2
Fable 2 was horrible, Fable 3 at least was a lot better than 2 so I forgive it for existing.

And whats all this hate on Dragon Age 2? I rather liked it.

Metroid Fusion. It's a good game, sure, but adding in a crappy story is what led the Metroid series to it's down fall. Lets face it, Miyamoto isn't a very good story writer.
Please elaborate for me.
I haven't played the game in a year or two, but I liked that Fusion told some of Samus' past.
I never liked the sad story about Samus, I always found it so lame.

I get some people like the story and want Samus to have her own personality and stuff, but I never did. I reckon Miyamoto should have just focused on explaining bits n' pieces through game play and triggered actions. That's what made Super Metroid and Metroid Prime so great.
Thanks, I get it now. Personally I loved the chozo lore idea that Prime used. The lack of information makes what little you find more important.

I'll go with Resistance 2. I bought my PS3 on Allegro (Polish equivalent of Ebay) from a guy who also send me all of his games he had on it, including Resistance: Fall of Men. At the time, I was completely green in terms of console gaming, so I didn't even know what to expect. And then, R: FoM turned out to be a decent, pretty fun shooter (although since it was my first console FPS, I almost ate my controller at first). Then we discovered with friends that - HEY! This game has a split-screen co-op! We made at least 4 playthroughs since then, and each one was a great fun.

Fast-forward to the moment I saw Resistance 2. I invited my friend to play it, and then... Why the split-screen co-op works only on some crappy missions outside of the plot? Bah, maybe at least the single player will be fu- oh wait, no. After a first few missions it became so boring and repetitive, I didn't manage to finish it. Shame...

And while I haven't played it myself, I hear Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World is considered a war crime in some parts of the world.
I haven't played it either but I also agree with this. The first game was awesome, great characters, combat, environments, story, etc... But then I heard they butchered the story with the second...

I had a bunch of ideas but in the end I agree with the first comment:

Other M

If the Metroid games carry on from this sequel they are totally done. As it is, Other M basically ruined the character of Samus Aran and was a pretty poor game overall.

I was personally offended by Homeworld 2, but I'm guessing no one else really got down with the Homeworld.

I would say my personal pick would be Perfect Dark Zero. The original was one of my favorite games of the era and I was really looking forward to the sequel, and while not an awful game, killed my love of the franchise.

Edit: 2nd place belongs to Farcry 2. The first was really good, Farcry 2 was getting great reviews from what I saw, and I have tried to pick up and play the game again 3 or 4 times now and just hated it.

Yeah, I found it pretty interesting and it was kinda original too. Much better than stuffing text in my face.

I'm surprised we got this far without a single mention of TV Tropes.

Personally? I don't know. Other M is almost too easy. If we include middle school students' retarded attempts to pass off their freeware crap as a pirated/leaked official sequel, then Archon III: Exiter nails it. If not... Hmmm... Eye of the Beholder III. I'll no doubt think of a better victimcandidate later.

I hate to badmouth mass effect but their pages upon pages of information about eezo matter less then the few sentences the chozo left. Prime's messages were more memorable.

no no victim is the correct term for the games in this thread because all it does is create victims after you play them.
