I honestly regret buying that game at full price, how Valve managed to make "Shoot the shit out of zombies with friends!" boring to me I will never, ever know.

You lost me there two because I find it fun. Then again I find things that I am good at to be fun.

Implying I don't enjoy it because I suck at it?
Far from it, burned through the expert campaign relatively quickly solo and with friends, I just found it boring.

Different strokes for different folks and all that.

Only game I bought at $60 was the special edition of KISS Psycho Circus The Nightmare Child. So technically it was the worse, but I quite enjoyed it, and not just because I was a KISS fan. There's something to be said for an FPS that just throws swarms of weird enemies at you.

OT: I bought my friend a Wii set, complete with game controllers for around $60 on eBay. My friend calls me back to thank me, but also needed help with the controls:

"How do you use this thing?" he asks, having never seen a controller in his life (he's a friend of my grandma's), "It's shaped like a silver bullet. There are no buttons or anything."

I agree to take a look at it the next time I'm over at the Home...

The person who posted it on eBay replaced the Wii controllers with vibrators.

What!!!! No way.I wonder what went through the head when they opened their bed side table and saw a wii mote.Maybe a wii mote makes a better vibrator than controller?

The only games I've ever payed $60 bucks for were Bioshock 2 and Borderlands, while both were pretty good I'm going with Borderlands, it quickly became grindy and the graphical style gave me headaches.

I see Yeah a lot of people think expert is super impossible but it just requires you to be cautious and go slow. I could have done all of them but I can't get myself to care enough to. I used to play scavenge a lot with the three teams I managed.

Brutal Legend on day 1. Apparently Tim Schafer can do a wrong. I loved the demo, but right after the demo it switches genres to a shitty RTS. I beat the game in one sitting but tried to do some of the terrible sidequests just to get my money's worth.

If I had the disposable income and the time and privacy to do it, I might. As for the wii-mote experience...

I was at a girl friend's house, playing with her Wii (<_<; and our conversation took a curious turn. Suffice it to say, no layers were removed, and there is also a dirge of Wii games with prolonged, vibrating game play.

This was a long time ago.

Vampire Rain. Across six consoles and two hand-helds, that was the worst game I have ever bought or played. The graphics and and controls were fairly decent but the writing, the gameplay and everything else sucked hard. I returned it less than two weeks after buying it.

The graphics and controls were those of a late-era but low budget PS2 title. But those are still high-points when compared to the actual gameplay.

OT: I couldn't get into RDR, so that wasn't a good purchase for me. Bioshock 2 didn't have any replay value and had tacked on multiplayer that didn't interest me...

Definitely final fantasy 13, I loved the tactics series, FFIV and XII but 13 was simply atrociously boring and dull, characters are bland and stereotypical and the combat system was wasted potential. But hey at least the music is nice, the 1st time you hear it anyway... not the 500TH FREAKING TIME.

Traded it in for bulletstorm, best damn trade in ever

We all have things that we regret. For some of us its that we let that special girl get away from us. For others its that they forgot to punch your little brother when he stole the last cookie, and others regret spending all there money on steam sales. This thread is for those who regret spending 60 of there hard earned dollars on a game that ended up being crap.

For me FF13 will always be this game. It is the embodyment of horrible game design. Looked nice though..
