I liked it once, but in play-thrus I kind of wish I had the option to skip - That Sloth Demon's Dream in Dragon Age.
There is an exellent mod that will simulate you having done the fade and skip it. You get all the experience, stat boosts, and even the tome entries.

Look her up and thank me later.

Lemme see... Impact Crater from Metroid Prime. While it's relatively short, dying at any point causes you to start the entire thing over. This includes the last phase of the titular Metroid. The second to last room is a very annoying platforming segment that is filled with constantly respawning Fusion Metroids. Fusion Metroids can only be hit by the beam that their color matches and if you don't kill it quick enough, it divides into two different colored Metroids. Oh and the slow Ice Beam can't freeze them, even though it's effective. Remember how I mentioned it was a platforming segment? Yeah if you fall off of one, be prepared to take some damage from the red Phazon and start the sequence over again.

Air's Rock from Golden Sun The Lost Age. Extremely long level that involves getting to the top, getting to the middle from inside, and then repeating that last step again. The random encounter rate seems to be more brutal than other areas of the game. Enemies have really annoying habits of stunning and deluding your party. Don't expect to be able to revive anyone while you're there unless you level grinded or it's a New Game+, though o don't see why you would need to revive anyone there on Easy mode. The equipment you find is okay and Reveal is an extremely useful Psynergy.

Cold Hard Crash fom Crash Bandicoot 2 was awful for getting 100% completion. You must make it too the side route without losing a life, make it to the end of the route and back, and then finish the level and hope you didn't miss a crate. Oh yeah and it's an icy level. Fun.

I didn't have much trouble with it, but testaments to my awesome gaming skills aside, it is a blemish on an otherwise stellar game. Throwing in a new long jump mechanic five minutes before sending the player to a new planet full of fighting annoying enemies, punishing jumping puzzles, and highly limited supplies... at a certain point it just isn't really any fun.

Most of the levels on Rogue Squadron 2.

I can think two right off the top of my head. The first I beat by accident after months of playing it off and on (worst. level design. ever.). The second drove me to such madness that I literally took a pencil and gouged the entirety of the disk before throwing it in the trash. I believe the first level was The Prisons of the Maw (in the link, the asshole gets a gold medal). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5SCuSN90gBM&feature=related

The second had to do with fighting a Star Destroyer that was reeling in a Rebel Frigate. Seriously. Fucking. Impossible.

Of course, I immediately regretted doing that, but I wasn't even 12 so whatever.

I wanted to love that game so much. I WANTED TO, but it just wouldn't let me. :p

Ok, so I feel really bad about ruining that game just because I couldn't beat that mission. I'm sure I would have beaten it with time, but what a frustrated little moron I was then...

The water temple in OoT. Yea I liked it but GOD it was a pain in the ass. Even now, when I've beaten the game countless times and can do a temple in 1-2 hours the water temple still takes me ages to do.

This completed my day. I no longer have anything to complain about. LoL Danke.
It was the only reason I played it a second time hehe. Otherwise I would have uninstalled the game.

I only have one kind of level that I CAN NOT stand in any game at anytime! Is when you have to guard something while someone is doing something or not let something blow up. The worst is when you're almost done then something just like fucks up and everything explodes in your face. Examples such as: Naruto Uzumaki chronicles, Transformers, Spiderman 3, GTA 3, and many more >_<.

You must remember I was younger than 12. Seriously though, I do feel like a total ass for giving up the way I did. :p

In other news, Sonic the Hedgehog continues to kick my ass to this very day.
