Worst Recent movie, Gigli....

Worst movie of all time, "The Conquerer" not only was it bad (John Wayne played Gengis Kahn) the movie actually caused the death of a good portion of the cast because it was filmed in a atomic bomb testing site.

Sure movies can be terrible, but killing people? That's just head and shoulders above.

Monster a Go-Go. It's shitty and boring all the way through, all while introducing brand-new undeveloped characters halfway through, and ends with...well, it pretty much just ends without warning. Sure, it was technically made up of two different movies spliced together, but this is the thread for "worst movie ever." No excuses here.

"Bad Boys 2". With the "Transformers" movie as a close second. Basically if it's made by Michael Bay, it's probably a contender.

There's loads of low budget straight-to-video rubbish out, but in terms of movies that actually made (and required) money, "BB2" has to be the worst I've seen.

Funny games is he worst movie, hands down, it has an awful plot and literally will make you want to kill yourself. But that was the directors purpose, to make you hate it, no really.

Alone in the Dark; No just, No
or
Manos: The Hands of Fate
Hey, Manos was shot where I live...but it still sucked anyway. The showed it at the Plaza Theatre just because it had connections to the community. It's best showing was on "Mystery Science Theatre 3000".

Oh, by the way...anything on "Mystery Science Theater 3000" was God-awesome!!!
Yeah, at least half of the movies on that show could go in this thread; My Favorite Though- Laserblast.

Cyber Seduction [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0457270/]. It was on channel 5 at something like 1:30 AM, so my friend and I were expecting some sort of porno to entertain ourselves with. What we got was about an hour and a half of bullshit. Needless to say we were very disappointed.

Eragon was one of the worst movies I was ever forced to sit through. It was so loosely based on not only the books but the universe that It was insulting to try and pass it off as a movie version of the books. And i know a lot of people (here) dislike the books but I like them and that's all that matters.

Oh yeah, and that absolute waste of space movie Epic movie.
Eragon Film= a Big "Yecchhh" from me.

If only the script was better and Ed Speelers wasn't Eragon and the elves actually *looked* like elves (they were completely identical to humans, except they didn't have beards)!

..........And all of the dwarves were as tall as normal people, what's up with that?!

Yep, I go with Eragon.

Turkish Star Wars, properly known as Dünyayı Kurtaran Adam (The Man Who Saves the World). Its meant to be a rip off of Star Wars, Indianna Jones, and just about any big film from 1970s - mid 80s.

By rip off I mean the steal all the music and randomly inserted it, took all the flying scenes from SW reshot the cockpit parts and applied the oddest backgrounds from the film behind the actors (In one part the pilots are doing that narrow canyon in the Deathstar thing, except by splicing in the footage of the models instead it looks like the ships are flying sideways, then with out any cuts, it changes to giant image of a nebula.)

The plot is even less logical, like melting down a magic golden sword and a magical Brain in a campfire pot, then plunging his hands in there and pulling them out wearing golden heavily mailed gauntlets. For some reason an amulet of mind control and a sword of Mass Genocide +999999 aren't as good as a pair of gloves AND matching boots.

Other interesting points are:
-The same guy plays about half of the monsters, only wearing the masks and not changing out of his pinstripe jacket,
-For some reason the Deathstar is shown at the start levelling Alderaan, then it later turns out that the Deathstar is Earth... and that the nice, environmentally healthy and beautiful planet is evil...
-And that the Deathstar's Earth's armoured shell is an invisible(???) barrier projected by the brains of the human race...
-That the co-star is necessary to power a machine to nullify this shield because he is from Earth, ignoring the fact that about half the evil wizards henchmen are human and from Earth and are not constantly escaping and being generally violent.
-The Millenium Falcon appears randomly throughout the film, and when I say randomly in the context of this film, I mean random, like theres a battle going on between robots stolen form Dr Who and villagers who come from either a Conan film, or a Mad Max film (I'm not being indecisive, literally half look post-apoc and the other half look like classical period Gauls/Goths/Germanians/Celts.) and then Woooosh jump to Hyperspace... Back to battle of the Franchise mooks.

Eragon is easily one of the most recent crap spewers from Hollywood, Superman Returns and National Treasure both make worthy challengers to the throne.

Recently...?

The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor

Awesome concept, poor execution. Jet Li was the best part of that movie and even then it was pretty bad.

Napoleon D was merely less than reported for me, I didn't finish watching it, although I chuckled heartily when the Cow and the School Bus... Well not to spoil.

Uwe Boll's Alone In The Dark is my nomination, it was like a paranormal investigators movie-length episode of Stargate SG-1.

...You realize that the person who campaigned first and hardest for another Indiana Jones was Harrison Ford, and that most of the script wasn't actually written by Lucas?
