Ultraviolet

THe guy that made this made Equilibrium, which in turn only doubles the shame one might feel when viewing this cinematic abortion.

Or he may just be a normal person who just happens to not like the film, people think I'm strange for not liking Apocalypse Now or 2001: Space Odyssey. Different strokes for different folks I suppose. :/
2001: A Space Odyssey wasn't even a movie. Nothing happened I can see enjoying it as a purely visual work, because in that respect it's amazing, but I expected a bit more 'movie' and less 'art gallery'.
Oh my god. THANK YOU!!

That movie is fucking awful! I watched about 3/4 of the way through and I couldn't take it any longer, I've seen the HAL part of the movie parodied so many times that I know what I missed, nothing worth re-watching that movie. I'm sure that it was a great movie for back then, when special effects were new, but it just doesn't stand the test of time. I expected it to be great but it was just terrible.
2001 is easily one of the greatest movies ever made. Obviously it just went right over your heads.
Sarcasm? I can never tell with you.

Anyway, on the back of the box it said "Watch the plot leap millenea ahead through one of the most dramatic transition sequences ever." and this is the scene they touted as so genius:

WHAT!? All they did was cut directly from a bone to spaceship! I was expecting some sort of fade-in or at least for the shot to be lined-up correctly, that was just sloppy cinematography. I understand the underlying themes of the movie, but christ couldn't they make it less boring, and I don't mean more explosions or nudity, I mean make shit actually happen before the last half hour of the movie.
*faceplam*

Go back to watching ([small]insert modern action movie with explosions and guns and aliens and shit[/small]) if you can't appreciate true art.
Lol.

lol id have to vote for either big stan or funny people atm, me and my mates can sit through almost anything but for both of those films we ended up walking out quite early on simply because we didnt want to waste any more minutes of our lives than we already had!

I'm going to go ahead and say, Southland Tales.

I couldn't even make it through the whole film.

Laid to Rest.
it's a god-awful horror movie with terrible redneck accents, terrible acting, and terrible (not the good kind) gore.

This movie:
Day of the Dead [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0489018]
A 2008 remake, or at least it has the same name.

Zombies leaping 20 feet in the air? check
Zombies crawling on walls and ceiling? check

The movie is scary, so horribly horrible that it is indeed scary!

I'd have to say Napoleon Dynamite. I'm pretty forgiving of movies and such, but that movie had no point. It was like somebody got high, wrote down all their marijuana inspired ranodm thoughts, then challenged themselves to make a movie out of it.

If it's a crap movie I won't usually watch it the whole way through, so I haven't seen the really bad films like Plan 9 From Outer Space and Speed 2, but I would have to say the Village. That film was so very, very awful.

300 is one of those movies that is so bad, its good. But thats not my pick, it's just a benchmark. My real pick is much, much worse..

SS Doomtrooper Just reading the name. You can tell can't you? This movie is just awful. It crosses the line from "B movie" to it's so bad it makes you want to curl into a ball and roll away. Forever.

Very Typical But Twilight, I Know Everyone Is Hating It But There Is A Good Reason For That
You Don't Have To Put Capital Letters At The Start Of Every Word Like This, You Know.

Also, fixed your mistake in "everyone". It isn't "every1"

Watchmen was pretty damn good. I mean, I can see not liking it, but the worst you've ever seen? Really?

As someone else said, Eragon ranks pretty high on my list. It was based on a terrible book by some little shit, so I wasn't really expecting much, but damn.
Argument indefense of Watchmen
I think it was also a bit over-the-top (and not justin the intended way). There are lines that work well in print, but just sound stupid in a movie.

Probably Twilight. I hated it before I saw it. I hate it even more now.
Can everyone please stop doing this. God it really is getting lame now. We get the message that some do not like it. Can we now get back onto some original films?

For me i would have to say Terminator series. They were just crap and i hate Arnold. URGH!

Either 2001: Space Odyssey (Even though love every other Kubrick movie) or Transformers 2. They are both horrible to me for totally opposite reasons, one is as exciting as watching paint dry and the other is action-packed CGI porn.
WHAAAT?!

Saying that they're overrated is one thing, but worst movies ever? Seriously?

OT: There are plenty of atrocious B movies and videogame adaptations, and then there's this, but none of which I can call the absolute worst movie ever; they're all bad, what makes one in particular the worst?
