Sliders. Good grief, I saw e-v-e-r-y episode and they ended with a "What are we going to do now?" ending!?!?!?

May God have mercy on their twisted cold souls.

I would have to say Prison Break season 2 was pretty bad and That 70's show final was a disappiontment

To be honest the last couple if seasons of That 70's Show were very disappointing. Once every other member of the cast quit the show it just got worse and worse.

I was thinking of a the crappy "would-have-been" series finale of Scrubs, until it got picked up by another company/channel.
I agree. No closure whatsoever. hopefully series 8 will have a good ending
But I believe that was because of them getting interrupted by the writer's strike. The last few episodes didn't even air in the intended order because they didn't want to end on a normal mid-season episode, so they chose the fairy tale episode as an impromptu finale. That's why Bob Kelso retires a few episodes before the end, but then is mysteriously back in the next.

Whichever season of Buffy where they fight the cyborg, they spent their entire budget having a massive CG fight on the second to last episode, remembered they had one more so had Sarah Michelle Gellar go sit in the desert for 40 minutes.

Also, it seems either the title of this thread is wrong, or people can't read, cause it says series, and you're all speaking of season finales.
Someone had to say it. Thank you and good night.

Honestly, I would argue that as much as I loved it, the BSG finale was a bit of a letdown, though I was perfectly fine with the end result
God did it

Chuck.

It was a fantastic episode. Chuck-ed full of sheer awesomeness. But the whole "I know kung-fu" bit sort of ruined the magic.
Yes. The whole kung-fu bit made me chuckle.
And I'm wondering where they're going to go with that, because it will be lame if Chuck is all of a sudden a great super spy. What made it funny when he went on missions was that he had no idea what to do.
As for the super spying, that's Casey's job.

Does it really matter? Talking about series and seasons just doubles the conversation that can go on.

Sounds like a Michael Jackson fantasy ending...

I would say bout 4 of the STNG where they would just kill everyone and bring them back for ratings.

When you think of terrible Series finales what comes to mind? Firstly for me Sapranos. The Godfather throw back was a dumb idea. The second in Angel. That was such a cliff hanger and all they gave us was a series of three comic book continuations. Each one had four volumes. Each one costs TEWENTY-FIVE DOLLARS! Thats three hundred dollars all together if you wanted to finish the damn show...
I actually thought the end of Angel was pretty good. It was a cliffhanger, sure, but i thought it summed up the series rather nicely, and wasn't too cliched.

Wasn't aware they continued on with comics though.. but now i need to go spend 300 to finish :'(

Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Sure, humanity is saved from the Fire Lord and what not, but what I want to know is...
What happened to Zuko's mother!?!?

Futurama...ending with a musical!?! Possibly the worst episode of all. Love the show, especially the "Another classic Sci-Fi show, cancelled before its time" in the Star Trek episode of the final season.
The movie series is keeping it alive and hilarious, I watched Bender's Game recently, Great. It is just a little slow with the pace.

Scrubs must have been pretty bad, considering how Comedy central won't air an episode beyond 06-07.

Angel comes to mind, as many have said. It's amazing it still has such a loyal fanbase and they couldn't keep it on the air.

Also, no one's mentioned Quantum Leap. At the end of the last episode, we get text saying "Dr. Samuel Beckett never leaped home." or something to that effect, then the credits roll.

I downloaded all 167 episodes of inuyasha and the 4 movies only to find that there was more story after 167. I had to then hunt down and download the manga for the rest. They could have atleast finished the series, it had plenty of following.

BSG had an interesting ending, I thought. Atleast they tied up a lot of things and gave it a nice package.

Buffy royally pissed me off. Watching all that just to have one of my favorite characters die.

Everyone knows Firefly was a tragedy.

Heroes was great in season 1, the rest seemed like fluff to get more money out of people and the "finale" wasn't interesting at all.

Mystery Science Theatre 3000.

The ending episode was great, but... but...

...I didn't want it to end.

I wanted to cry when it finally sank in that there was never going to be another one.

And then, on top of that, Rifftrax decided to suck. I was devastated.
There is hope my friend...turn not to Rifftrax, but to Cinematic Titanic.

Come join me in a movie riffing world of rainbows, lollipops, and sunshine! *dances*

The Sopranos. Where it cut to black in mid sent-
Yeah, when I heard about that, it totally killed my interest in seeing the show. What a cheap and crappy ending.

Fullmetal Alchemist

Alchemy comes from a portal to pre-Nazi germany.

They really strayed in a bad direction away from the manga.
