This piece of shit on the PS2.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Trek:_Voyager_?_Elite_Force

Ended up giving it to a friend for his birthday after owning it for about three days.

(Sounds mean but he's a massive Trekky and he loved it).

Kingdom Hearts 2. I beat it, and felt sad, cheated, $50 poorer, and extremely disappointed.

I think I'm starting to sound like a broken record but:

Red Alert 3. Downright terrible game and marked the death of the C&C series at the hands of EA.

FarCry 2. I paid £30 for it and feel utterly ashamed. What a steaming mound of poo it is. I have tried struggling on with it but it feels like such a chore. Games should be fun, not a chore. On the other side of things I got Full Auto for £5 and for that money it was a right laugh.
I hated Far Cry 2 the first time around. Then, I read Ben Abraham's Perma-death play through story. I decided i would do the same basic thing. If I died, it was all over. I also turned music off.

I got really immersed after that. It was awesome. I slowed down, starting acting like I would if I were in that situation (and bad ass enough to take on The Jackal). It was a LOT of fun.

It ended in me being run over by a car. Which was a sad end to the whole thing. I got at least 30 hours of play though.

Far Cry 2 had a lot of frustrating design choices, but it's a great game, as I've experienced it.

OT:
Saints Row 2 for PC. I had the game on the 360. My favorite sandbox game. Miles better than GTA IV(It took a turn for the worst at "Realism" avenue). The PC port for Saints Row 2 was just shameful. I lost my 360 disk, and I got it during the holiday sale as part of the THQ complete pack. I saved a SHITTON of money. But I still feel ripped off. It's probably about 30 bucks used now. Hopefully I can scrape together the money.

Dreamfall. The game seemed stripped of several thing, like the combat that was only enacted once and the removal of standard money troubles in favor of simple puzzles that normally consist of calling or visiting a friend who'll give you whatever you need. The stealth was fine and the story was interesting enough to get me to see the ending, but when that moment came, the game decided the best conclusion was to kill all of the PCs except one who ends up in a coma because the antagonist told her to go brain-dead. In an RPG, the characters shouldn't conclude the game in death without achieving anything they set out to. There is not a perspective I can take that doesn't conclude that it would've been better not to have played.

Fortunately, the cost of this mistake was one dollar and seven hours.

Beowulf and Eragon.

I got them for christmas before I actually knew that movie games unanimously suck (I was twelve at the time) and they were just awful games, I beat Eragon (although a bug prevented me form getting any of the achievement points) but have barely touched Beowulf. I still imagine what good games I could have gotten that Christmas.

Scetion 8, looked cool with drop in style but no, retarded aiming system, a campaign 4 hours long and not a single solitary person online to play against. Atleast I got 30 back of my 60 when I traded it for BC 2.

I bought the Bourne Conspiracy off the shelf for $60 and finished it, on the hardest difficulty setting, the same day. There was no multiplayer to speak of. I was quite mad at myself.

I tend to rate my games as a waste if I play them for less time than it cost me to work up the money. To date I have to say pretty much only Stalker and sniper elite have been dissapointments. I really want to get into Stalker but just see myself get bored of it after about an hour. I do however feel alright about it since I only spent 2.50$ on it. Sniper Elite was pretty much a dissapointing pile of crap. I was hoping for a decent sniping simulator, instead I got a half-assed FPS with decent sniping physics but no point in using them.

Resonance of Fate. Shitty game, I wouldn't even want it for free. The only way I'd play it is if someone paid me to play it.
What was so bad about it? (I have a friend who might buy it and I don't want her wasting her money)

Star fox adventures or Pokemon channel. Both games were atrocious... In my defense pokemon was for siblings that were 7 at the time.

Gotta be Command and Conquer - Renegade. My most disappointing memory of that game was when the enemies started running into my gunfire. Without shooting back. 0_o
