Besides, healthy food costs alot more than bad food, and I buy games so my extra funds are quite limited

One of my aunts has been a vegan for years and she took me to a vegan cooking conference one summer since she knows I enjoy cooking. I was actually surprised at the wide variety of foods and recipes they had! As to whether or not I'd actually become one, I don't know, but I can at least say that I know it wouldn't be as awful as some people make it out to be.

well look at it this way:
plant cells and animal cells are exactly the same. execpt that the plant cell has an added "cell wall".
now plants--as a whole, not just cells--do not have nerves and therefore can't feel pain.
they also can't defend themselves or run.
but when eaten, the plant cells will die the same way animal cells would.
so eating a plant is the same as eating a cow.
the difference is that plants can't cry out in pain as you kill them.
the cells could be feeling pain, but they can't scream out saying they are.
the just have to sit there, motionless, waiting to die.
so yeah, i'd rather eat something that has a fighting chance, then something that can't fight back.

yeah, some of the documentaries i've seen scared the hell out of me .. apparently when the cows get pumped with these chems they also have a bit of a pus discharge along with the milk ... and this pus is meant to be the same colour but slightly thicker .. meaning some cartons or whatever of milk (mostly cheap milk, but u never know) might have cow pus in it
apart from needless slaughter and suffering caused ... i'm also worried about what they're putting in the meat to make it bigger, grow faster ect ... then they not only deem this worthy of consumption by my fellow man .. but they sell it to people with a grin on their faces ... these same people go home and feed their kids this corrupt meat .. not their fault .. but what can they do?
obviously this isn't all companies, some take care of their animals and methods of slaughter are humane ... it's just that we really don't know what's going on behind closed doors

yeah, silent screamers or not ... we gotta eat something. most plants are ready to go ... if they aren't then the edible bits wouldn't be ripe (edible) would they?

We are omnivores by nature so we need a balance of meat and vegetables. I don't see point of not eating animal by products. Milking a cow doesn't harm it in any way and we need calcium in our diets. Don't get me wrong I have strong opinions against animal cruelty but we need to survive and thats just how nature works, the predators kill and eat the prey.
