Ok, the Scott Pilgrim thing has been overused, but I cant help myself.

Yes, if being Vegan made me into a demi-god I would. I so would. Screw meat, eggs, hell even cheese. Glorious power...

But under normal circumstances, no. I love cheese. I love sour cream. I love milk. I could probably do without steaks and bacon, but omnivore sounds so much more balanced, no need to go to the extremes. And on a side note, every time I hear a so called vegetarian ask for chicken or fish I want to wring there necks. Seriously, its still meat!

I dont understand how people can eat twigs and leaves and call it food? if your food doesnt have a face and a soul it isnt worth eating

I am the opposite of a vegan, pure carnivore baby. I really never grew out of that 7 year old stage where you refuse all veggies lol. I like my steaks bloody, my burgers grilled, and my vitamins coming from well...a vitamin lol. Actually my diet is really pure protein and a couple vitamins

I'd probably be a carnivore. I hate veggies...

And i still think that an omnivorous diet is still healthier than going all the way to one side.

wait ?...what ? either I am miss understanding what you have written or did you just hint that you get more attractive if you eat vegan ?...If I am miss understanding then I am sorry.
SsilverR said:
you're at peace, you respect all others and their decisions and you like what you see in the mirror (both physically and psychologically) ... if that's the case then cravings won't be an issue ... especially with all the beautiful vegan cuisine from all around the world to keep your taste buds occupied
no, you don't have to be attractive to look in the mirror, smile and feel good about yourself
Yes, I know that you do not have to be attractive to do that. But many people still think that they have to be "attractive" to do that.
and that's the problem ... like i said, if you feel good about yourself after you've changed your life in some way, you seem healthier, feel healthier and are committed and at peace ... then you're going to want to smile when you look in the mirror.

those people who think that are obviously in a dark place .. either that or they're insensitive douchebags ... when you feel good about yourself and you find peace and confidence then looking in the mirror and smiling isn't something you have to try to do ... you just will
I agree with you about this but I do not agree with persons that says that you have to do a certain change to do this like going vegan.
no, no ,no u missed my point .. i didn't say you needed an extreme change to achieve this ... what i meant was as long as you feel good about yourself no one elses opinion should get in the way of that depending on the context.

i used veganism as an example since it's the primary subject in this thread .. it could be anything you do, as long as it works for you and makes you feel good.
Actually it seems like you missed my point (or I did a translation mistake) because you just wrote that I missed your point then wrote the point I was trying to tell you...anyway it seems like we are agreeing about the subject.
nah, u made no errors ... twas i .. with my 5am sleepiness XD ... either way i think we both said what we needed to say and we both understand each others perspective so it's all good

i feel like there's more to be said but for the life of me i can't seem to think ... more i need sleep but it could be that most of you guys are right and i need more cod liver omega 3 haha ^^ ... the cod teases me .... knowing i will never jack his liver ... wait wtf am i talking about ... LOL imma pass out now XD
Yeah, you do that before you accidentally steals the cods liver but seriously I didn't notice this until now but why is it not a poll ? anyway feels a bit wrong when you say that "we" might be right after you have defended your opinion.

No. Steak/Pork/Chicken/Fish/other meat/Dairy are all too delicious.

Also, question to others on this forum. Why do so many people disregard fish as a meat and eat it anyways if their "vegetarian" or "vegan".

no. the only way i would stop eating meat is if there were no meat left. i also cant stand vegans. it may be a generalization, but literally every single one i have met is way too judgy and self righteous.

animals are food. they are also the tastiest of foods. animals have no souls, more so, they cant talk, cant build self sustaining civilizations, and they cant consciously create anything but more of themselves. thus, we should use them to our full advantage, since we can do all of those things.

meat is not murder, fur is not murder, it is food and it is clothing. the Indians had it down, using every part of the animal. i wish it was the case in our society, but we are wasteful. that doesnt mean imma boycott meat or fur, i just wish corporations would work on it.

many of my vegetarian freinds say cutting back on our meat consumption would be able to feed other countries, but if you think about it, if we cut back, they wont get the food anyway, it wont be produced and we would be left with a whole bunch of useless cows.

I will NEVER go vegan. if a Doctor told me I'd die if I ate one more strip of bacon, I'd go to the grave with grease on my chin and a smile on my face.
Couldn't have said it better myself. ^_^

In the words of Ron White, "I didn't climb to the top of the food chain to eat F%$@ing carrots". I laugh everytime i hear that line. and on topic, no I would never go vegan. I love me some buffalo burgers.

I probably will try it sometime in the nearish future, I'm a vegetarian right now.

It's kinda shocking to me how many people here have no idea bout the actual practical benefits of plant based diets. I didn't become a vegetarian because I hate meat, or because I love animals too darn much.

I did it because of the incredible boost to mental clarity and energy.
There is also the benefit of needing less sleep... of course those are only my personal experiences.

In my mind, people who condemn these diets as "unhealthy" have probably never even tried them, or experienced the benefits.
I can't really imagine going back to meat.

I wouldn't based on principle. Vegans tell me they don't support killing animals in any way. Cows are killed in making roads. I don't know all of the facts, and there is a bunch of other stuff too that makes it impossible to be a pure Vegan.

Lolno.

Besides the fact that I LOVE meat and animal by-products (I actually just had a dinner of chicken and eggs with a glass of milk, now how's THAT for an animal meal), I have never known a vegan that was not only a vegan because "it's cruel to animals" and "I would save an animal over a human" and "I love PETA".

Cutting back our meat consumption would not help feed other countries. The US gov't pays farmers every year not to use some of their land. If we ate less meat, the only thing that would happen is that meat would be more available and therefore less expensive, maybe.

Not only could I not afford it, but I enjoy bacon and steaks too much to give up. So, no. Never in a million years.

Considering 90% of my diet is a form of meat or flesh then hell no! Not only am I willing to eat animals if the entire world stopped producing readily available meat products I would hunt them myself! I am getting my bacon/sausage/beef/chicken one way or another!

Also I'm black so that should be enough of an answer

It is not morally wrong to eat animals, I'm morally wrong for eating that baby cow? Well then so are tigers, lions and any predator willing to eat a baby cow. I ate veal once as the cruel bastard I am I told my friends "I could taste the suffering. its like schadenfreude in meat form"

Hell I would eat horse if it tasted good

FUCK NO. I couldn't go more than a week without some delicious bacon or steak or General Tso's or green eggs and ham or whatever, I just couldn't survive, that would be absolutely horrible ...

But seriously, I know a lot of vegans, and it seems to me that every single one of them is obsessed with trying to make me feel guilty for eating meat 9_9 Are all vegans like this? I wouldn't expect so but on the other hand what other reason is there to take something so delicious (not to mention, something so staple to every single other food in the country, milk and eggs etc.) out of your diet?

The only reason any vegan has given me is so they can gloat about how they're so much better than I am because I'm hurting the animals by eating meat (which is impossible because between me and said vegan, I'm the only one who eats food that's already dead), I mean they say it's because the meat industry is torturing the pigs and shit before they kill them, but that's going to happen whether I personally eat pork or not so it shouldn't matter to them enough that they want to `convert' me so damn badly. And anyway, why don't they eat eggs from small free-range farms that don't torture their livestock? The chickens are fine, and it's not like you're eating baby chickens because those eggs are unfertilized, so it's more like eating the chicken's period and it would have gone to waste anyway, but NOPE they won't do that either because it's so fucking evil for some reason 9_9

No, I think it makes more sense that people like to be vegan so they can ***** about the fact that restaurants don't give them special treatment by making food that has fake milk in it or something. Basically they do it so they can feel superior and special. Please tell me not all vegans are like this ...
