Would You Go Light or Dark Side?

I'd be a Grey Jedi foo!

The Light Side is full of too many damn rules and restrictions that you have to follow, seriously, you can't love because if you do you'll turn evil? How the hell does that even work?

The Dark Side doesn't have enough rules and restrictions, also I'm generally against the wonton destruction of everything in sight that doesn't bow to my every whim.

Ruler of dark side will have to be dealing with betrayals and light side and still shoot lightning also i can heal myself which is useful if i get in an accident
I would be good chaotic, or good neutral, or good lawful based on my mood

Dark Side: All emotion- love/have, joy/sorrow

Light Side- Complete suppression of emotion

Dark Side

Actually, the light side folks are more like Buddhists. I think "passion" is supposed to refer to the possessive or angry components of emotions like love. Jedi are supposed to have compassion for everyone but not let their judgment be clouded by personal issues.

I don't think I would specifically "go to" either side.

It is completely possibly to be angry, fearful, and greedy but still be a "good" person. Being selfish isn't evil. It's a basic survival instinct, that if not controlled can produce undesirable behavior.

Regarding emotions, I think the Sith have GREATER control over their emotions than the Jedi, but in a different way. While the Jedi push their feelings to the back of their minds (it's impossible to get rid of them completely), the Sith USE them to their fullest advantage. Getting pissed at somebody helps them find the strength to beat the crap out of them.

Luke demonstrates this amazingly during his fight with Vader on the Second Death Star. He goes completely berserk, hacks Vader's hand off, then calms down.

Anakin, on the other hand, gets TOO angry during his fights, and gets every one of his limbs chopped off for his trouble.

To quote a bad guy from an entirely different story, "There is no good and evil. Only power."

You're on which ever side you choose, whether you electrocute people with your bare hands for fun or meditate 12 hours a day.

The key is balance. Yin and Yang. If you master elements of both Light and Dark side, you become pretty much invincible. Think about it. The most badass Jedi (Luke Skywalker, Mara Jade, Kyle Katarn to name a few) have all turned to the Dark Side for a time. (Except for Mara, who turned to the Light side.)

I would use the force just for the fun, nothing else. So I'm not sure, I wouldn't side with either.

I follow my own agenda, No-one elses. Dont harm the innocent or your death will be painful.

Gotta love the Sith, here's the Jedi version:

Given, the Sith version sounds a lot more awesome, but knowing the little goody 2 shoes inside me I'd probably go for the Light side anyway, albeit being a controversial Jedi, maybe go Grey after a while, but I'd probably never follow the Dark side.

The morally grey area, I'm no good at supressing emotions and stuff like that, it would make my life too boring. But I wouldn't go to the dark side, as I don't really want to murder innocents or anything (well, except if they were smug bastids). So, yeah, shades of grey wins. I could probably be a mercenary though, pay me, and I kill whoever you want, as long as I don't know them =P

The Jedi are allot more evil than the Sith imo.

The Jedi would have you emotionless and inhuman.

The Sith would allow you your own nature - your own personality.

I'm always chaotic neutral - I believe people will do what they need to do to survive and emotions are there for a reason.
