Yes, yes I would. I already wear glasses, so it wouldn't be much of a bother for me. You get used to them sitting just in front of your eyes. Though I must say, when a small solid speck gets on one of my lenses, it's a damn pain. I can't imagine that a solid HUD would be comfortable. A transparent HUD, on the other hand, would work fine. My glasses get overly dirty sometimes, and the film of dust and particles over them doesn't bother me in the least because my eyes tend to ignore it unless I'm actively looking at it.

It looks ugly, like a failed attempt at some kind of cyborg visor.

I'd prefer a monocle.
Too many "over 9000" jokes.

Im surprised at how much the udea polarises people.

Try and answer that without generalising a few million people.
It's social bookmarking. It's like a facebook version of Ray William Johnson.

Unfunny memes, claims of stolen content, reposts from 4chan. And Karma... Urgh.

I use it for discussions and for news, just like forums.

Well, you failed. Generalisations everywhere!
Lol he passed by his own standards, not yours.

Please keep it on topic, gentlemen.

Since the day I had to start wearing glasses this was my dream to where they should go!
Same here. Over a decade of waiting and finally shit's happening!

Sure it'll still be ages before it works as advertised but still, I'd be fully on board with it.
Finally! Progress! I had the exact same thoughts when I saw the video, and I dont wear glasses outside of my Gunnar Optiks

Really? Sorry if my reply did not insult the average intelligence of the Reddit user, because I can tell you were so itching to corner me there you didn't even read my post.

While I can generalize Reddit users pretty good if you want. But it's not related to my point at all.

And you don't want people to generalize Reddit, but you just generalized the people who would want this tech, and claimed that it was a POS without every touching it.

I envision the same battery life failure that smartphones have for this. Anything less than 72 hours of idle battery life=useless to me.
There's also the issue of me living in the middle of nowhere. Anything within a hundred feet or so of my house, I get a good wireless signal. Beyond that, cell service is a few miles up the road.
Aside from those issues, looks like an interesting concept.

If they can actually make it react that quickly and have decent battery life, yes. I'm thinking the reality will be a bit more clunky than what's in this video, though. I might wait for the second version.
Agreed. This looks decent at best. I'd prefer to have a hud with complete customization. Even then, I would have to have a lot of time to try it out and fiddle with it before I really wanted to use it.
Something like what they have in GitS would be ideal. I can't wait to get my body and brain cyberized one of these days :D

Wait. You don't understand the concept of a hipster, do you?

Hipsters are known to like vintage stuff. So saying "I'm like a digital hipster" is kinda conflicting.

Why? Because many of the "so-called" hipsters actually like gadgets and pretend they understand techno-babble.

Let's recap.

Liking technological advancement doesn't make you a hipster. Being a "digital hipster" would probably mean you use floppy discs because DVDs are too mainstream.

Sorry for now knowing how the internet views "get out" right now, but until a few months ago it wasn't an insult.

It's about as literal as "Tits or GTFO". Absolutely 0% of seriousness.

He's allowed to do so. He already made a post, rather add that part than making a new post about it.

This actually looks very interesting... Provided it works as intended, the GPS feature would be worth it for me any day.

Well then, call me an anti-hipster. I'll get the latest stuff, on release, with some caveats. I don't actually come into contact with hipsters.. Ever. So yeab, totally getting this. My one concern is the cost of bandwidth.

It looks interesting and I would like to try it, but I doubt I would be able to afford it.
