This is a huge waste to resources, all hate on furries aside. They can make brainwave controlled machines and waste it on freaking cat ears? Why? Why is there a demand for this? Who thought this morning after waking up "Hey, it would be cool to have moving cat ears on top of my OTHER ears to wear in public?" Apply this to prostethic limbs and other useful items, brainwave controlled anything really, THEN make this kind of gimmick.

Neko is the japanese romaji for "cat," Inu is for "dog." "Jin" means person. So, the word neko-jin means cat-person. Inu-jin means dog-person. Both of these fall under the category of kemonomimi, literally meaning "animal ears." Kemonomimis are not furries, either. They are essentially just people with animal ears and tails. Usually nothing more. Now, furry fandom is much different. They're anthropomorphised animals made to look human. Two different concepts that don't go hand-in-hand and anyone making a knee-jerk reaction against furries (not you, quotee; I'm speaking towards others in this thread) are really just displaying ignorance of the subject and anger towards a fandom that is irrelevant to the subject at hand.

OT: I think they're very cute, but they look pretty bulky.
