I'm not questioning the concept of love, but first off this subplot was completely against the comic's (he confesses, she kicks him out) and secondly... I hate that kind of thing in films in general. Every single one must have a love plot, oh how it annoys me.Ragsnstitches said:You'd be surprised how many women settle (I say settle, but I mean varying degrees of infatuation/love) for what would socially be considered a loser.Quaxar said:But can we cross out the awful "the looser gets the beautiful girl anyway because fuck you, reality!"-part please? That was so uncalled for.blakfayt said:We need more superhero movies like kick-ass, thank god the creators are already on board for a three picture deal.
I'd actually prefer more superhero movies, but only if they managed to keep a steady good quality which I doubt honestly. Sooner or later someone will realize you can make lots of money with a character people love without making a good plot for him. Then we will end up with Steven Segal as Green Arrow or something equally sucky.
Couldn't agree more. Though I was getting tired of Spider-Man and X-Men movies, so maybe that's what he means.saintfrankie92 said:considering how excited people are for the avengers movie and the iron man 3 sequel, i think Vaughn is talkin' out of his ass
Wolverine Origins was far, far, far worse. The Great JT said:If they are dying, it's the writing in things like X-Men 3 that'll kill them.
are you saying that wasnt a good film? That film had me in tears, granted i was younger when it came out, but none the less.Jaredin said:I think hes right to be honest. Its got so dilluted at the moment and can see it already falling out of style...
I mean if we are down to make sequels for Cats and Dogs...yeah...
I'm gonna have to agree with you here.Proteus214 said:The market has been saturated with superhero films since the release of Spiderman and X-Men. Of course we're getting bored with it! Once they're done with The Avengers, there isn't much left that is recognizable to the general public.
I agree with the guy above. I'm sorry, but no way have you not seen a film in "years". Just no way. If you don't watch any films because they are the same, then do you not read books, watch TV, or play games? I'm very interested to know what you do in your spare time.Ragsnstitches said:In essence, by your logic, literature should have died nearly a century ago since it's been around for so long and it has done everything to the power of ∞.Ultratwinkie said:film is dying because it has no new ideas. i have not seen a film in years. why? i seen it all. its the same shit over and over and over again. its not just the decline of superheroes in films, its the decline of films itself. comics are stagnant, and film is dying.
You haven't seen a film in years? You mean to say you have never sat down to watch any film, or you haven't been to the cinema? I find that slightly hard to believe. You must have the most active and interesting lifestyle to not even consider watching a film. Your friends must share the exact same sentiments too, as friends generally ask other friends to go to the cinema for nothing more then the lols.
Not only that, have you seen every film, have you read every comic... surely there must be some genre you like and are willing if not eager to endure more of the same.
Bullshit! There's still... uh... wait... um... Aquaman, yeah! Fuck yeah! Everybody wants to see Aquaman in his own movie!Proteus214 said:The market has been saturated with superhero films since the release of Spiderman and X-Men. Of course we're getting bored with it!
