The only way MS would be getting my money is if they impressed me at E3 by doing something colossal to make up for their shambolic reveal, which they didn't. Then again, that Day One achievement sparked my Gamesc-whore side...

I read the first two sentences of the thread, realized it was just another xbone complaint thread, albeit presented in a completely ridiculous way, and immediately lost interest in reading the rest as I can make a pretty educated guess at what the rest of the wall of text says.
We get it, the Xbox One sucks, rather than complain, vote with your wallet and don't buy it because we all know. I have yet to see anybody defend the Xbox One, so provided we don't all complain but buy it anyway I think it's a safe bet that it will tank and Microsoft will either try to control the damage or axe the department entirely.

TL:DR
Shut up about the Xbone,it's bad we get it.

All other Xbone shortcomings are but annoyances except one: you no longer own the games you buy. You "license" them. Which means when the expiration date is up - you no longer own shit. Keep that in mind when buying your Xbone. I feel that this abominable practice must be abolished as soon as possible.
I believe that's legally been the case for quite a long time. In the case of Steam, it certainly is.
Except I can avoid Steam if I wanted to.

PC is a gaming platform that has been around since the very beginning. I can still play the original 20+ y.o. Prince of Persia on it, if I was so inclined. What would happen to xbone games, once the cloud servers shut down in 10 years? Even if you were able to install games from DVDs you bought, you wouldn't be able to patch those games, and newly released games lately tend to require heavy patching to be at least playable.

Injustices? Nobody's lying to you or forcing you to buy it last time I checked. I'm pretty sure it's well within Microsoft's rights, both legally and ethically, to make a shitty product.

If I found out XBox One's were being made in Chinese sweatshops with underpaid workers or that they were sabotaging the product to break right after warranty expires I might consider this reaction more appropriate.

As things stand I'll just not buy one like I was already planning to do.

Ill put this one thought I have here about the X1.

If Microsoft takes all this criticism and changes the whole console to remedy those issues, you should not be put off from buying it, you should actually be encouraged to buy it (if your an Xbox player or the such). Its basic conditioning. They do something bad you take out the positive reinforcement, if they do something good, give them positive reinforcement.

The reason I'm hostile towards Xbone supporters? Their actions could negatively affect me.

I don't want any part of Xbone, so I don't buy one. You don't mind their policies, so you do. Everyone is happy, and that's the end of it. Except it's not.

Xbone isn't anti-consumer for no reason. It's actually pro-publisher. And if the big guys are making more money off of their Xbone games, they might start shifting their support and even exclusivity towards MS. This could shift market share, further influencing support decisions, creating a feedback loop that might force Sony to adopt similarly anti-consumer features.

So there's a chance I might have to deal with Xbone's bullshit even if I never buy an Xbone. But that only happens if people are stupid enough to buy it, so I'm going to continually hammer home why that is such a fucking dumb thing to do. Not so I can feel superior or get my rocks off. Because I don't want this sort of ideology to permeate the industry unchecked.

Edit: had to check for anything badly misspelled or misplaced behind THAT FUCKING UNCLOSABLE POP OUT AD BLOCKING HALF THE FUCKING TEXT FIELD. Why do I bother with this site?

Do you have any idea how expensive consoles are these days? Especially on my income, no way I am going to buy an overpriced piece of junk so I can later spend EVEN MORE money to buy some games, most of witch will have a single player campaign of maybe 8 hours, so fuck that as well.

PC Master Race, all the way.
