good lord.
you forget what the ZP SR2 review was like.
go back and watch that.
mission wise the game is MUCH shorter. Many of them are just the first stages of activites so bascially cheap copys of other content with added dialog. on that note there are many less of those Activites so making main story missions out of them just shortens the game terribly. in SR2 we also had MUCH more freedom in the mission structure. not only in completing them but the order we did them. the main story of just one of the enemy gang mission lines was easly as long as around 3/4 of SR3. THE FIRST GANG THAT GOES DOWN IN SR3 DOES SO IN LESS THAN 4-5 REALLY FAST MISSIONS OF WHICH 3 ARE FREAKING ACTIVITES.
the graphics are really nice and shiny and detailed! and all it took was what seems to be 1/4 the number of vehicles and more than half of the clothing content capabilitys. ya the options are more vaired in places and more over the top but why couldnt we get that with the options we had before? as for why they made the changes.. well considering the fact that SR2 always had tons of people and cars possible more means that the only reason they left it out is because the SHINY NEW GRAPHICS HAD TO LIMIT THE IN GAME CONTENT. SERIOUSLY.
and finally theres Steelport itself. the city feels dead at times. for somereason day and night only cycle when you load and save or complete an activity, the little wait points that alloed your character to do random stupid stuff that were so carefully placed in SR2 are COMPLETLY GONE. the little stores are gone, only one crib is really nice and none of them are customizable.
The gang itself has taken a hit in customization and is nearly absent. cant upgrade your whole gang to Attrizones anymore. you only ever get 6 cars to choose from of which you can only choose 3. and ya i know you CAN get your gang on the streets by taking over areas but have you noticed they dont even seem to drive the gang cars?
and finally YES I WOULD EXPECT ZP TO HARP SR3 EVEN IF IT WAS BETTER THAN SR2
AND I HAVE THE GAME AND HAVE BEATEN IT AND BEEN PLAYING STRAIGHT SINCE RELEASE SO I STILL AM HAVING FUN.
but that doesnt mean it will get out of the ZP review without a lashing aimed at Volation.
Remember the Redfaction G review?
SR3 has more color than SR2 but less varity imo.
